Knowing tamim, he was elated after the Lord's century and it was as if he did not give 2 cents about the team. Shakib never really played for records to begin with but these days he seems more in the mould of "afridi" rather than a Kapil dev like figure.

I wish that MccInns would work with the national team batting after coming back from WI. Alternatively we can bring Salahuddin back.

SJ is a bowling coach and doesn't seem to have much idea about batting. Tamim seems to have developed issues with technique in playing teasing fast deliveries around off stamp. Anamul doesn't seem to have any clue in feet movement. They must work hard under some good batting coach to fix these issues.

Corey Richards is the batting coach now. And I know we love to bash the coaches for our players failures but lets hold the players accountable. Tamim's issue is a pure mental one. He wasn't having too many problems in 2010 with deliveries outside the off stump, why now? Again, it's mental. And as for Anamul, just look at Marshall. His footwork improved so much after just 1 match. Anamul's been in the national team for a year now, and his footwork hasn't improved. How can we blame the batting coach if one player improves his footwork and one hasn't. That has to be on the player

Marshall has good footwork. In his debut match, he was not confident and was over cautious. That's why he seemed to be a bit rigid with his feet movement. In the second test, he seems to have gained a bit confidence which is evident in his feet movement.

Two of the lower-ranked teams playing against each other - I found that interesting. The smaller the difference in rank, the larger the promise of greater entertainment. Plus, Bangladesh were playing at home and I hadn't enjoyed that in a while, I just had to be there.
