Perhaps an indication for the next VC?
But I think its to even out the team.
Anyway, Tamim er ki practice lage na? As far as I remember he is not injured or anything. ...

I saw that coach Jurgs was the one who asked for these matches. BCB wanted a T20 tournament of the 4 zones but coach Jurgs thought it was better to just have these matches.
Good decision I'd say. We can't complain now of whose in and out of the side. The best performers should obviously get in.

this tournament will only be a test for Anamul. I think even if the rest of the national team flops they will be selected

Personally I would of had a 14 man squad and had the below.
Tamim Iqbal over Jahurul Islam
Raqibul Hasan over Marshall Ayub
Mosaddek Hossain over Mithun Ali
Enamul Haque over Elias Sunny
and added Shafiul Islam & Taskin Ahmed

Tamim isn't match fit. Nasir is in the A team so that BCB can give him some exposure to captaincy as they may make him VC in the future. Great idea to have 2 teams. It's now or never for Sabbir. This is his moment to shine.

I would prefer the 4 zone tournament. That would give chance to more cricketers and selectors could also have the chance to see more players. Fringe players like Enamul and Raqibul could show their ability.

Got to feel for Enamul Haq. Although he is over-rated he certainly can do better than Arafat and Elias, the 2 Sunny's.

According to Bashar, they have put Nasir there as captain as an experiment. I think it's a good decision and it'll be interesting to see how he fares. After Shakib, I feel he's the next best choice to be the VC. He's definitely a better option than Riyad since he's established himself as a regular. Also don't forget he did a good job as a captain of Rangpur.
Also Bashar said they didn't include Robiul and Raqibul because the selectors don't consider them T20 players. Interesting that he said that. So they think Marshall and Imrul are more of T20 players compared to Raqibul? Also is Robiul really much worse than the other pacers taken? Thought he could've easily made it ahead of Muktar Ali.

I really don't get why people rate Enamul so much higher than Elias. Not just calling you out, but others have said the same thing. Just look at the SRs of both bowlers and you'll see Elias has the better SR in both ODIs and Tests and the averages are relatively the same. I understand Elias was flat out ugly in SL but Elias and Enamul are similar in quality imo but still would rate Elias ahead of Enamul
Arafat Sunny's average and SR are also better than Enamul's in List A's and FC's plus his T20 stats are not much worse off.
I can feel for Enamul but he also has to understand that there are other SLA's that are doing very well as well. Unfortunately for him, it's the biggest competition in the team. Razzak and Gazi are basically locks for T20I's and ODI's. Tests are probably the only format where he's got a chance but again he has both the Sunny's and Sajib to compete with. So it'll continue to be tough for him but that's how tough it is to get in to the national team as a spinner.
