Default Specialist WicketKeeper?

Who are the Top Glovesman in Bangladesh? He doesn't have to be a great batsmen, he can play down in the order and just give it whack but he has to be top notch keeper.

Lets be honest, Mushfiq is not a good keeper ... He constantly misses catches & stumpings. It always comes back and bites us, Bravo yesterday on 10, even a Taller Keeper would gotten Ramdin on 98.

Mushfiq is one of if not the best Batsmen in the Country, he doesn't need the additional burden of keeping. You can easily make room in an XI for Mushfiq & a Keeper considering the amount of deadweight on this team.

Look at Zimbabwe and NZ, Both of the Taylors aren't keeping anymore to focus soley on Batting. It's time we do the same.

We have quite a few options dont we. Anamul Haque is not bad. Mithun Ali can keep. Nurul Hasan is another prodigy.

Its always good to have a wicket keeper who would be good enough to play as a batsman so that he is like an all rounder. Anamul, Mithun, Nurul all fall in that category. Gives the team the opportunity to pick an extra bowler or all rounder.

Anamul was decent is the recent series where Mush couldn't keep... think was due to a finger injury

The best in our history has been Khaled Mashud Pilot

I agree it's time that Mushy gives up the gloves. He's one of our best batsmen and needs to focus on that.

I'd suggest bringing Nurul in. I don't know if you guys watched him but his keeping is very good. Also can bat 1-7 in limited overs. A good batsman for the longer version. He'd be my number 1 choice. Liton Das is another good prospect. I don't rate Mithun Ali. Definitely would pick Nurul and LKD over him

Anamul was a lot better than mushy. I've been screaming about this for years.

This...

Giving the gloves to Bijoy in test will do alot of good to Mushy' s batting. He can easily bat at 3/4 and score more runs than he has been scoring while keeping. Bijoy can bat at 7 in test.

if bijoy is batting at 7 in tests then i think we need to consider nurul, pick who is the better keeper because nurul has also showed promise with the bat.

I'd rather have Anamul just focus on his batting. He still has a long ways to go with his batting still and adding keeping to that won't maximize his potential IMO. If we want a specialist keeper I'd suggest Nurul

Nurul Hasan Sohan is the guy. Enamul Haque Bijoy is good enough before before Sohan makes it into the National Team. The best keepers in the country alongside Sohan and Dhiman Ghosh and Shahin Hossain, but neither is likely to make it to the highest level.

Ideal realistic Test XI in immediate near future (but doubt it will happen):

1) Tamim
2) ???
3) Mushfiqur (*)
4) Mominul
5) Shakib
6) Anamul (+)
7) Nasir
8) Riyad
9) Robiul/Taijul
10) Al Amin
11) Taskin

Riyad should play on as a specialist offie and bat no higher than 8. Plenty of time to reinvent his game/career. Eventually give Nurul the gloves and have Anamul open.

i'd give nurul the gloves now and either have anamul open or shamsur or imrul (both scored a ton in the last series so deserve chances). i think playing all 3 formats will eb to much for taskin atm, not that i wouldn't love to see him playing test cricket because he'd be the best pacer in the team but not sure his body is quite up to it yet....then you've got riyad or taijul as your 2nd spinner, not sure on nasir either atm, might even be worth considering riyad over nasir with nasir in current form.

Taskin himself said he's not quite fit for tests yet. If fit for the ZIM series, I'd play him since it looks likely that there's no point to save him for the world cup if Razzak starts over him and we're bound to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Also my team was not a current lineup but immediate near future ie 2015 after the WC. I think we play 8 tests vs PAK, IND, SA, and AUS next year.

Looks like our wicket keeping prodigy Nurul Hasan could be barred from DPL this season because he took money from one club and joined another.

Where's the common sense? But even still he should have people mentoring him about this stuff who should have steered him clear of this. Has only just brought himself to the fringes of the team so this can't help his chances.

I am sick of Mushy's keeping. At this point, I would take anyone.. specialist or even Shamsur... cant do worst that mushy. So frustrated by his lack of skills.

yes gloves should be taken off mushy, if he bats higher like up at 3 or even just at 5 he'll be right next to mominul in the batting and they are our best test batsmen and need each other to make big partnerships.

Mushy needs to focus on his batting, selectors really need to look into grooming a keeper.

Something to think for the upcoming Zimbabwe Test series. Lets see how Sohan does in A-team matches.

Mushfiqur's averaging 47 with the bat in the last 3 years. I would like to wait another 2 years to see how the likes of Anamul, Sadman, Hom and a few other potential top order batsmen do, before relieving him of the gloves and promoting him to #3. The top 6 lineup would be a joy to watch and give us stability at the top.

1. Tamim
2.
3. Mushy
4. Mominul
5. Shakib
6. Nasir

It would mean we pick the best of the deadweights to fight for that #2 position. Nurul Hasan or Anamul could take over the gloves and bat at 7/8.

Kayes should be dropped for next game and bring Bijoy and let him keep. Mushy can bat at 4.

Batting order should be like this:

1) Tamim
2) Shamsur
3) Mominul
4) Mushy
5) Riyad
6) Bijoy
7) Nasir
8) Hom

Give the gloves to Bijoy for now, and then to Sohan whenever he makes it to the team.
