The XI will probably the same except Rubel going out and Taskin coming in most likely. But this is what I'd prefer.
Tamim Iqbal
Nazmul Hossain Shanto
Sabbir Rahman
Shakib Al Hasan
Mahmudullah Riyad
Mosaddek Hossain
Nurul Hasan
Mashrafe Mortaza
Mehedi Hasan Miraz
Taskin Ahmed
Mustafizur Rahman

Gotta win this game to prove to the Kiwis that this is not a cakewalk for them...They got noobies who are already setting on Bangladesh like veterans....
What happened to initiation of debutants?

who is Shanto ?
I had to check what he did in BPL as quite a few here are asking for his inclusion.
He scored 180 runs in 9 innings, strike rate of 109.
You guys need to stop acting like HaThor, this is international cricket, not some campus cricket.
Only one change, Miraz in for SS
I hope we win toss and bat first again, I don't think this kiwi bowling is anything special,Ferguson will bowl 2 quality delivery and the other 4 will be garbage, our batters need to play smartly, initially take 1s & 2s and hit 4s when on offer, keep wickets in hand, target 160/170, no need targetting 180+ and then struggle with Nurul & Rubel.

Shanto performed under pressure in U19WC2016, played some gems with great maturity, shifting gears at will etc. Coaches/Insiders (Pilot the only one I remember/recognized out of em) from that level have incredible faith in Miraz/Shanto/Saikat. They always single out these 3 for some reason when they talk about young guns coming up.

BPL is not a perfect platform to showcase talent, tho. Only clear case is when ppl struggle too much, like SS did.

We don't disagree with Hathuri's experimentation, trying new players to replace clear failures etc.
We disagree with him dropping GOOD players, picking BAD ones, then sticking with his failed experiments FOREVER,

We could have won all the matches in ODIs and the last T20 as well - we gave away our wickets and failed to hold on the catches - also, missing Mushy as a batter dearly.

This.
I don't blame Haturu entirely for this though. Our selectors are soft minded and without visions and the people around Haturu are also vision-less. We need a strong selection committee to keep going forward ...

Shanto should have been playing ODIs not t20s, you can cite his U19WC exploits but that is in a totally different format.
How many of our u19 kids have played a t20 in their lives? The only times is probably BPL if they even got picked. These kids have only played 50ov and FC format so you can't just debut them in a middle of a t20 series where they have never played and expect them to score at 100+ sr when our seniors can't even do that themselves!

Doesn't matter who you draft in T20 XI.
If the batters don't bat responsibly, nothing will change
T20 is a batsman game, and unfortunately we haven't got those X factor/hard hitting Bat yet.

Agreed. But coach already put ODI-champion Miraz into Test-only, put FC 200's champion spin-specialist pace-bunny Saikat into LOI slogger role, then into NZ swingy fast pitches,...the fact that these homicidal decisions havent led to disaster gives me great faith in this bunch.

I am atonkito-fied by Walsh so far. Can we please kidnap some ZCB official and demand Streak back as ransom?
Our Tuntuni Ahmed's, Saifuddins etc. need proper direction.

Lol.
Mushy has a BT average of 16.73 with SR 106.73, with no fifty since 2014. (filtered)
Mushy has a BT average of 17.57 with SR 112, with one fifty since 2006. (unfiltered)
He is more likely to cause pain to us fans... in T20.

Shanto is pretty useful offie as well. Saikat/Shanto/Mullah should be great against a team with so many left-handers.No need for Miraz for just 4 overs, till he gets his batting sorted out. Btw Someone needs to tell Mash/Hathuri that offies are good aginst lefties. They seem to have forgotten.

On stats, Anamul, Ash, Sabbir.. should be the core in T20 lineup...
But we don't do this...
When players peform in test we pick them in ODI.
When they perform in ODI we pick them in T20I..
When they perform in T20I we pick them in Test.
