Indian bowling is almost in the same level of Zim. We can score a 300 on them. All our batsmen has to do is eliminate mistakes (easier said than done). For win we have to perform exceptional with the ball and in the fielding category.

Man Tigers_eye, you are completely underestimating Indian bowling.
Yes I agree it is not the strongest but is not "that" weak either.Infact it is the strongest we ever had for a WC.
Look at the last WC for eg, India did win matches because of bowling for eg. England and infact played a major role
except for both the matches against the Aussies.
Clubbing India with Zim is wishful thinking at its best.
My Ranking would be
1.Aus 9
2.SA 8.5
4.Pak 8.5 (with Asif)
3.NZ 8
5.India 6.5
6.Eng 6.5
7.SL 6.5
8.WI 6.0
9.Bang 4.0
10.Zim 2

1.Aus 9
2.SA 9

4.SL 6.5
5.NZ 6
6.Pak 6.5
7.Eng 6.0
8.WI 6.0
9.Ban 4.0
10.Zim 1.0

No. If it wasn't for our erratic batting style I would have predicted much bolder prediction. The generous batting lineup makes the weakest bowling attack look good at times.

This means nothing. Last WC kenya went to the semis. using your logic they would travel to semis or further if their batting didn't become weaker and bowling gets better. Or BD lost to monnows in 2003 so they will lose to minnows again??? This is 2007 bro. Smell the roses!!

Please see my post at #6. Care to argue still that SL and Indian bowling attack is same as you have ranked? Or India's bowling attack is better than BD? They are more experienced I give that any day but better? I haven't even said anything on away series yet, specially on WI.
If so called superstars starts to under achieve then they will be ranked where they belong. All I can say, after 17th, I don't want you guys to say we want Dav. Have nice short WC.
My smack has started.

It's funny to see some people are ranking BD bowling higher then WI, India and even Pak. hahahahaha, sorry i can't stop lauging. but there should be a limit of being optimistic. lol. Come down to earth guys. Besides there r somany thigns that have to go in our favor to beat either Srilanka and India. These guys will b even more serious then ever this time. So be realistic and plz do not get a heart attack after any kinda humiliation. Like others I am a die hard BD fan too. But i support them keeping their limitations in mind.

Ofcourse One match does not say a lot, but mark my words Indian Bowling is very under rated ( opposite to the batting which is over rated) ....couldnt ask for more to corroborate my argument.
But again WI batting is unpredictable and One match does not give the true picture.
I'll hold my guns until the WC starts

There were no demons in the pitch, but West Indies batted like they were in a horror movie, slashing away to their own demise. The Indians did nothing special. They didn't have to as self-destruction was the theme of the day. Loose drives, hesitant pokes and over-ambitious swipes punctuated West Indies' shocking batting display and they went down in a heap...
Pathan, despite bagging three wickets, did not look too threatening. First, he struggled with his control, then with his pace - he didn't get to 125 kmph, and there was not much swing either. (Is this a fast bowler or spinner who can't spin bowling quick)
Patel, who bowled from close to the wicket and was more often than not on target, slid a delivery down the middle and leg stump line.
http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/wc20...ry/284614.html
Zaheer, Agarkar, Harbi, Kumble, Shewag, Dada and any one from the above two. Bring it on!!! Yup! Indian bowling lineup is the best in world who will be treated exactly how they need to be treated. Why can't the match start now?? Why do we have to wait till 17th??? Millions of dollars in WC investment would be lost otherwise too early.

Anyone want to rerank their choices. Had to rub it in.
You guys can't still believe what happened???
Under-rated Indian bowling will be exposed by the Lankans. Just hold your horses.

Absolutely, where are they now about the ranks?
I think Indian bowling has always been correctly rated below their batting and much below most test nations bowling.

i watched the game with a mumbaikar who after the first innings was dead sure India would defend 192...i was 50-50 so i didn't smack talk.
but, i thought to myself "is this guy really a cricket fan??? everyone and their mother knows India's bowling, however good it might be, is shyte compared to their batting (thats how good their batting is or how flat teh wickets are in India)."
i told him so, but made no predictions that we would win except that we would either win by 5 wickets (which we did) or lose by 50 runs.
