What feels great is that there is a Bangladeshi among the first ten while there is no boasting Indian or pacy Pakistani. Razzk deserved the pick after having a great season. His bowling against the Australians in the ODIs were absolutely brilliant.

This is the time to pick on those Razzak critiques...and give them a palta dholai. Razzak has answered with the ball. So I hope the Razzak critiques accept their defeat, and praise this guy. I wonder where's Spitty (well, he's not Razzak critique...he's universal critique )

I have to say that my early impressions of Razzak were that he was very, very limited and that it would be madness to select him ahead of Enam. I have to say that he's improved his game beyond anything I predicted.

I'll be interested to see how he goes in the tests.

I didn't say much about Razzak in the past, only Rubu was a bit sore about him (for obvious reasons ).

Among the top 3 performers against minnows, only Razzak was able to keep up the good work throughout the tournament. Mashrafee was inconsistent (wicket taking wise) and SN was a total failure.

BTW, while its great to have a player in the top 10, we mustn't forget that in the end rankings don't carry much weight in cricket. It didn't take much time for Dhoni to come down to earth from the #1 ODI batting ranking.

Ya in ODI.... these ranking arev like roller coaster. So it may not last long. But as long as it last why not enjoy it.

What makes Razzak's accomplishment even better is he was our savior in the power play as well as the closer in the slog overs. He was more critical in the team than the stat shows.

Razzaq proved very few wrong.. He was good from the begining but had to wait outside as he had to correct his acitons. Enamul is still a player that he has to challenge in Test but given our small brain size of the selectors,, they might drop Enam to give Raj a chance in Test which may/may not be effective as its known that Raj is effective in checking runs whilst Enam in taking wickets, bowling 30+ overs for 3 plus days. Irrespective,,,, Raj is a very good bowler in ODIs and deserved this rise. On the other hand, Mashrafee is still the best player of Bangladesh team with skills, perfromance, heart, consistency, leadership... He is the true 'Obishongbadito' player that no fans ever asked for his removal/rest/replacement/retirement/anything.

Dude.. That pitch was cursed for SLAs.. The way the ball was bouncing,, it was not easy for them to adjust. Rarely have Bangladeshi bowlers/batters found themselves comfortable in these types of pitches.. In fact, they have never. So, we have to give them some credit for that.. On the contrary, it was the batters that dissapointed us that day not the bowlers.

I wish I kept track of your posts mannn!!!
But you were always critical of all the players, saying they're "minnow bashers" for whoever did well. Not accusing you man, just for the sake of discussion

Yes, Razzak did come out fine. I wouldn't base his performance in the WC to take away his abilities...he has performed consistently for a long long time.

BTW...ektu guta marlam r ki, don't mind...apnere time moto guta marte besh moja

I am proud of this young spinner. He was able to capture Sachin and Lara's wicket in WC. And who else more than me was waiting to see his name there in the top ten. Congratualtions and well done.

Despite the rankings we should still realize that Mash is our best bowler and if conditions favored him a little better in BD then Mash would be in the top 10.
