Zunaid Bhai,
Exellent table.
One idea - one more column with the runs of the opening partnership in both innings would make the table more useful for comparing pairs.

Working on it - my data is not easily query-able (yet) and so is time consuming to process. Next time I get bored at work

Test: Javed Omar/Hannan Sarkar (if he fails would be replaced by SH in the 2nd test)
ODI: Shahriar Hossain/Manjurul Rana
Nice piece of work Dr. Z!

What I have heard about opi and bidut is that they were both addicted.. and no international coach will select player knowingly no matter how good they are. It is our good fortune that bidut has come clean and playing a lot better and physically you can tell from his latest picture the change hope opi could learn from this and follow his foot steps, cause they were the best opening duo that bd had for some time

yes, FRV, if all players are dail khor, they all needed to be replaced. doesn't matter how good someone is, we can't accept known addict in the team. the best thing we can do, we make them go through a program to get rid of it. if they are willing to do that, fine, get clean and come back. if not, go to hell. even if that means replacing all the player in the national team.

opi during his Willes days
[ED: Stuff Deleted: Difficult choice but we feel better]
Having said all that bad stuff, I will say this much - that boy, in his Willes days, would work his *** off. He'd practice for hours after the end of Nets. He'd be like "Razab bhai - ektu bowling koren - baua practice dorkar". He was quite the athlete too - he was (at that time) Willes' best batsman, spin bowler, and wicket-keeper.
Pity the talent has not been maximized.

Mehrab Hussain has been out of the national fold for a while now. He is well into his late twenties (I don't need cricket info to tell me that) and I don't think our cricketing gurus should spend time rehabilitating him rather than scores of other younger batsmen. Moreover, let's not dwelve into his personal life here. I am sure we have something better to discuss than players' personal shortcomings. DAIL is a common addiction in Bangladesh. I am sure our readers don't need to be reminded of that.

mea culpa
Didn't mean to put out info that might be deemed offensive for the board. Apologies.
