Default we need Gordon Greenidge back as a batting coach

Hey guys,
We need to kick some asses of those people who rejected Gordon Greenidge from his coaching without any reasons. Gordon told that Bangladesh needs some more time to play in the test cricket. He was absolutely right and that's why he lost his job from coaching of Bd team. Was that his fault???

Whatmore can't do any improvement in the batting department but he managed to improve the bowling and fielding department of bangladesh team.

We need a special batting coach and that one could be a coach like Gordon(the most successful coach of Bd team).
Those people should appologise and beg him to bring him back in Bangladesh team again as a batting coach. What you guys think???

What BD needs is a psychologist, a motivator not a batting coach. It is incorrect to believe that former test cricketers alone can prove to be good coaches. The coach of Australia, John Buchanan, has never played a test, but he is a great motivator and that is why the Aussies have chosen him over many past greats.

I also suspect that there is genuine communication gap between the coach and the players. I suspect that most of the English that Whatmore speaks goes over the heads of the BD players without leaving much impression on them. I may be wrong, but that seems to be a possibility.

A specialised batting coach would not help much. Its typical a "Me see, me smash!" mentality that most of our batsmen have, either that or they are too tentative at times.

We have phsychologist in Bd team. They are not that helpful.
All we need to do is to bring Gordon Greenidge back. Otherwise they will not improve in batting department. Gordon can work on Ash,Nafis, Aftab and Saleh to make them world class batsman. Pshychologists can't do that!!!!

I think Coolheels is right. We just need to learn how a game of cricket should be played. They should watch a lot of the other cricket teams like Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, so and so forth in action and learn from them; see how they play, how they bat, how they bowl and how they field.

Analyse the other teams and try to emulate what they do and then bring about our own visions to the game, who knows it might just work.

Actually Whatmore tried his best. But our batman didn't try to improve.

In that condition, I think bringing back Gordon Greenidge as a batting coach will be a great dicission. But I think he will not come in Bangladesh as a coach.

After being insulted like that, I do not think he will want to even look at Bangladesh again
