This thread is to challenge each other with math problems.First someone asks a math question then everyone else tries to guess/find the right answer.After that question is answered,someone else asks a question and so on.I'll start it off.

Q #1

Find the values for x,y,and z,so that all of the following statements are true.

*y > x , z < y, and x < 0

*z /(divided by) 2 and Z / 3 are integers

*x / z = -z (negative Z incase u missed the sign)

*x / y = z

Took me about 5 mins to find the answer.

Can one demonstrate whether NP-problems are actually P-problems?

While you are at it, prove that every number > 2 is the sum of three primes. My friend Goldbach considers 1 to be prime.

I was about to write the proof, but I don't think the space here is enough notwithstanding it may be constituted as spam.

Ok, I got one.

(X-a) x (X-b) x (X-c) x........x (X-y) x (X-z) = ?
[Clue: You don't need to do serious multiplication to find out the answer, there's a trick in here]

Btw, the capital X's refer to the variable; and small x's refer to the multiplication sign.

It is 0.

Because (X-a) x ............ x (X-X)........... x (X-z)

Anything multiplication with 0 = 0

When does (-2)/3 = integers? Am I missing something here? integers have different meaning than whole numbers?

HA HA EPIC FAIL by SBASH. I guess next time you would want to spend more than five minutes to solve a problem. And you should also learn to check your work before posting.

By the way Tiger's Eye, I think you only got part of the answer. I think the answer might be the following:

z= -6n(where n is any positive integer)

y= -z

x= -(z^2) or better known as negative z squared
