Atrocious display from a few of the teams. But yes, India did well to win it. Best team of the tournament by far.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are the only teams India have failed to beat in their last respective meet ups.

Great match. Happy that it was a 20 over match in the end. A 50 over one would've been too one sided. Imagine England playing 20 overs of Jadeja and Ashwin in this pitch.
The match was even more special because it was the bowlers this time who bailed out the batsmen, we're used to see the other way round.
@Zeeshan Thanks for the support mate

Dhony is a genius . Extremely clever at neutralizing key opposition players while defending. The only guy i can think of that compares to Dhony as a captain is probably Stephen Flemming

That was the biggest of chokes if there's any. To loose from 20 required in 16 balls with 6 wickets remaining requires a freak over with a great amount of luck, and Ishant Sharma just delivered that. The following sequence will be remembered for a long time in cricket.
dot 6 1wd 1wd W W dot 1
Best comment from cricinfo by an English fan:
"I was eating pop corn with England on their way to victory, but choked on it when they lost 5 wickets in double quick time to lose the match!"

A hilarious collection of tweets about the CT final match. Really a must read.

Honestly, I was surprised that England would run India this close. India just looked on fire but their batting surprisingly failed yesterday but credit to them for bowling well and ended up winning it all. Without a doubt they're the #1 ODI team right now

True. As I mentioned in my earlier post, the credit goes to the rain that we saw the most thrilling final in recent times. Given that the ball was turning square form the 25th over, had this been a full ODI match it'd been mighty difficult for England to play 20 overs of Ashwin and Jadeja (and maybe some more from Raina/Rohit). So although ideally a ODI tournament final should not be decided over a 20-20 match, it actually made it more competitive.
