7 out of his 9 five wicket hauls have been on or before June 2010, thats 3 years now. Last 5 wicket haul was in 2011. I know we have not been playing much but that is worrying.

lol r fifer jodi thakto tayle: no fifer against top nations?
so anyhoo..anyone remembers multan match where he scored the 100? he is with sachin for being man of the match from losing team...most
Quote:
Who has won the most Man-of-the-Match awards despite finishing on the losing side? asked Chinmay Jariwala from India
The leader in one-day internationals, as you might expect, is the man who has played in more of them than anyone else Sachin Tendulkar has lifted the Man-of-the-Match award on six occasions in ODIs despite ended up on the losing side. Javed Miandad won five, while Chris Gayle, Inzamam-ul-Haq and the Flower brothers (Andy and Grant) won four. Gayle is also one of eight players who have won the match award despite losing a Twenty20 international. Tendulkar has won three match awards in Tests his side lost, as have Wasim Akram and the Bangladeshi pair of Mohammad Ashraful and Shakib Al Hasan but it should be pointed out that such awards in Tests are a relatively recent innovation.

According to good old Tom boy, Genius is 1% inspiration + 99% perspiration.
Although Shak may lack in perspiration he more than compensates for it in the inspiration department.
So Iceman could be 5% + 45%, but his 50% > 100% of any other cricketer we've ever produced [until proven otherwise].

Its just that we play them so frequently, and the only team we have 5match series against so often, I'd have thought he'd have bagged a few against them.

Shak's not a genius but his ability to keep churning out phenomenal performances are made of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=o5YJfPBqPNE

No it isnt. Many greats dont have too many fif-ers in ODIs while the likes of perera has 2-3 infact.

Shakib does not have too many 4-fers in ODIs either. But he has been a regular wicket taker that is for sure.
