He should be averaging 50 odd during his peak and he will, if given matches, he should have been averaging more than 40 by now.
He's finally, finally living up to his potential, currently I have him as our second best batsman, but we can't ignore the fact Shakib whilst having a heavier load out batted him, with less technique
He can't be top 2 overall at this point, he simply been too poor for too long

Shakib was very impressive , I am expecting him to finish his test career with 45+ average.

I figured, hence I said Subjectively speaking... I.e only in my opinion he's not top 20, but he could be objectively
Which is obviously not the case

I don't know about that, he seems to be peaked in test batting, 45+ is a mighty ask

Shakib is averaging 50 from last 2 years in test. So if he can maintain his 50 + average in next 4 years then his overall test average will be 45+.

Here's why I think that's very difficult and unlikely.
A batsmen tends to have a 4/5 year peak, and am sure you would agree he's been in his peak for about 2 years already.
He's an all rounder, not a batsmen, so it's further difficult to maintain form right at the top without slipping.
He's a reflex player, who relies on hand speed and reaction times, not technique. If we go by your years, he'll be 34, before he can reach 45.
Most players Don't retire right at the top, especially not Asian players. If he is to reach average of 45 by age 34, do you think he'll retire, he won't. He'll go on couple more years, which then makes the challenge of Maintaining his average, which for his style is very very difficult.
He may be able to reach average of 45, I don't think he will, but it's possible, I certainly don't see him retiring with an average of 45.
Past 2 years, he's averaging 50 with the bat and 32 with the ball, that's as good as anyone to have ever played the game.
For comparison, Stokes that many on here think is better, without actually consistent watching him, is miles behind Shakib.

Perhaps, we could stretch it to the top 30

Yeah, Athar might have been our best Test batsman. To be international class and be the only one in the country at that time and still stand out.

Shakib?! a test batsmen with a average of 45. Hook some matches with Zimbabwe and Ireland and he will get it for sure.

Hey his career average is 41 and so he has a decent chance to have an average of 45 at the end of his career.
He is averaging 50 in test matches from 2015-17.
