if he had little bit of dignity left, he would have retired.

Yesterday's match reminded me of a match against Zimbabwe few years ago http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/e...tch/64879.html.
In that match, batting first, Zimbabwe was 79-5 at for one stage. But our "respected" captain opted not to go for the kill. He was as defensive as usual. Zimbabwe ultimately finished with 242 and won by 14 runs.

Let me answer the question once for all.
We can carry Bashar as long as the selectors would allow. Sympathetic towards the seniors in the name of experience I presume they will keep him around for another 9 months at least. Unless they make me the chief selector tomorrow.
Bangladesh'er shobai jara cricket khaley nai ekta jinish bujhey ar selector'ra bhujey na? How can this be possible?

How long can we carry Bashar, the burden?
Why ....whats so hurry. Our selectors always prefer 'go easy' mode. We used to do that for Ash, Alok, etc, etc. Why change it now? As long as Sakib, and the bowlers are giving us 'respectable defeats'....don't expect sudden changes.

Bashar bhai, it's time to retire. Please don't waste another AWAY series with your pathetic batting. You look desperately out of place in this young team.

Its astonishing! Bashar the captain still have not realized he is making mistakes after mistakes. I think in his mind he feels his captaincy is fine, has no problem (he never admitted or talked about his poor captaincy), rather blames everybody else for blaming him! The guy is about to retire, and making mistakes like this shows he really lacks the quality of any prudency.
Athar was blaming him during the match, question is, what does the management do before or after the game? Are they scared of Bashar or they are also clueless?

There is no point to support a jerk. He does it the same every match. If we win, that's only because of the other players and the opponrnts' mistake. As a captain, he NEVER could trigger a win. The best thing might be just get rid of him before tommorow, though that will not happen.

Spot on. That's the mindset of the losers. The team management has serious problems. And the world cup mistakes were very much over-looked by the fans. We have started paying for that.

Sure, give it to Zimbo, Kenya, Scott, Nepal or whatever. Not worthy for BD anymore.

if he gets out quick, other batsman start to play with responsibilities. have u noticed tht though .. hahaha.. its kidna funny.. but yeah .. lets not forget he gave us a lot. and we should give him proper respect. Only 2 more ODIs guys. come on. then we won't have to take him on our team. We will have 100% strength to beat other teams. But for now, lets make some sacrifice for our old buddy. Let him say goodbye in a stylish way. Go bashar Go. I wish he could make another 50 in the 2nd ODI. and BD could win.. and and.. cross the 300 barrierz... hehe
