How about the umpires? Shouldn’t they be also disciplined?

Imagine all the anti-ashoka or anti-umpiring or anti-ash threads there would have been if we lost..... Doubt the servers could handle it.

We need to see more of these fines after every match, regularly.
In the past, we've seen genuine run outs not appealed. This goes to show that our coaches are training the players right. They must appeal, and everyone should appeal together. Our demure attitude about appealing had cost us dearly in the past. This helps keep the umps like Ashoka on their toes. Very much needed.
The Aussies and the Indians are happy to forgo part of match fees, by delaying the over rates to take away the momentum from the opponents (captain is fined, in this case). This is just appealing. Even with the appealing, I'd say at least 3 genuine lbw went against us.
I'm very happy to see that finally these guys are appealing hard. Keep it up.

I hope they accept 10% penalty as a given and more team members start appealing more vociferously. In the end, even if one decision turns around because of the extra strong appeal - it's worth it

Man that's the kind of stuff that India does. Really looks bad on our behalf. Idiots. Hopefully they've learnt their lesson.

As long as they don't cheat, a win is a win. There is no lesson to learn here, other than - be willing to lose part of your match fee if it helps the team hold the edge.
You must be a tree-hugging tofu eater. All red meat eaters would support this behavior, I'd think

This is pathetic considering all the wrong umpiring. BCB should talk to ICC about this, and get a shoka out of our games for good. This man is a real disgrace to cricket.

It is no problem if Ponting rushes to the umpire with the ball in his palm appealing for a catch with a killer look in his eyes. It is no problem, if England wastes time for no visible reason, clearly for saving the match. All dirty play for them is fine; but as a Bangladeshi, we can just appeal saying 'How's that', not 'Haaaaaaauuuuuuuz thaaaaaaaaat'
ICC sucks!

Shahadat I guess for not leaving the crease after calling out in first innings. Shakib I don't know why? May be for the team?
Infact WI was appealing much more than us, sometimes even ball going quiet away from the bat. BD did at the last leg of the 4th innings which was very logical. Every one does that in the 4th inings situations like this. Even in Ashes last day, Ausies were doing the same. You know it's easy to do it agains BD.

One of the appeal from Shahadat was very long and he got mad when it was not given by Ashoka as it was plumb.
I liked it when Shahadat did it. Ashoka needs some angry mens to cure his blindness!

^^^Shahadat's LBW appeal in the 2nd innings against the opener where the batsman was run out by Rokib. That was OUT no doubt.

I think there was some slight over appealing from the Tigers in the 4th innings. As someone pointed out, the wicket keeper was the worst offender and he didn't even get a warning.
I think some common sense should have been shown by the match referee. A quiet word with the Bangladesh team management would have been fine. It was a huge opportunity to win only their 2nd test, of course they were going to be excited. I have seen far worse over-appealing from other teams in similar circumstances go unpunished.
