He's apparently desperate to play for SA but rather than play him as a batsman who can bowl a bit SA are happier to play Behardien who is a fielder who can bat for about 6 balls.

So now he's basically a domestic merchant, playing all over the world until either England or SA see sense and call him up
Given his age time is running out so they may never see that sense but he is one awesome batsman, any team would be lucky to have him on his batting alone.

According to the guys on the Zim forum Williams and Ervine are leaving as well.

Honestly, that leaves Zimbabwe below Ireland,Afghanistan,Scotland and maybe even Namibia or the Dutch in terms of quality.

Zimbabwe have clung onto test cricket for over a decade now, could 2015 be the year they finally lose it??

I think thats bull if I'm honest.

The only guys who perform in Zim domestic are the same tried and tested failures like Sibanda and Waller. The only people the forumites there have hope for are 17 yo players like Welch who will in all likelihood leave anyway, and havent even performed at domestic level yet.

I'm sorry but if Williams follows suit Zim wont even be a match for Bangladesh at home IMHO, Sibanda sucks and Masakadza is a Kenya basher
