Don't break the winning combination. You beat number 6 consecutively in WC. You carry a streak of 8 against number 5.

Why worry tigers?

Yes that's a good one, I expected Tajul, for Arafat even in today's match. But I guess he was a waste today.

But I don't think, Nasir serves the purpose of Kayes. He has played only one match, I don't know if that will be a good idea. And again I don't think its good to fiddle with everyone in batting order to accommodate Nasir. Let the batting remain as it is. IMO too much fiddling doesn't work, let them be settled for the next match. If Imrul can get adjusted to these conditions in next match he will be an asset for the QF

Shafiul yes in place of Mash in next match.

That will probably be a good team...

Tamim
Imrul
Soumya
Riyad
Mushy
Shakib
Sabbir
Nasir
Mash
Rubel
Taskin

This is my squad for QF against India. Our best chance imho. Enough with the specialist SLAs, they are just not working out except Shakib of course. Nasir bowled quite well as a part-timer and use Sabbir-Riyad-Soumya if needed.

I really really hope Mash is fit and ready to play. I can't see Shakib leading the team again this WC.

I hope this is the team. Although tamim/imrul has lots of qstn mark.

Please drop kayes. Open with Somuya. Either pick mominul (if they decided to go with 8 batsman) or push riyad at no.3. With both shabbir, nasir our team look much much better. If they think a specialist spinner needed then go with sunny instead of taijul.

There is no way Taijul or Sunny is playing against India. Neither is Kayes. He needs a lot more time, and it's too late now. Definitely Mominul needs to be given a go as an opener, and he is also another SLA option. Can back Mominul to score runs quicker than Kayes and not waste balls like him. Riyad and Nasir are more than capable of 5th bowler options. Nasir just proved it today. It's also too late to make any changes to our pace bowling combo. Can't bring Shafiul just suddenly for a knockout game. Plus, Taskin can be in lineup for quarters since he can inspire confidence from his previous performance against india. This should be the default playing 11, no questions about this anymore:
Tamim
Mominul
Sarkar
Riyad
Shakib
Mushfiq
Sabbir
Nasir
Mashrafe
Rubel
Taskin
Looks like everyone has found their comfort zone for batting in the team. Mominul hopefully shouldn't find a problem since he's good at scoring runs during the earlier overs. There cannot be any shuffling of batting order. It is just too risky.

Good lineup. It will be the closest to this, but I feel instead of Mominul we will go with a spinner, most probably Sunny.

Not happening. Reason? Because right from the first match, our team management has wanted the order of Riyad, Shakib, Mushfiq at 4,5 and 6 respectively. Don't know on what basis, but have to admit, it has worked out for us. Changing this even slightly might backfire in this all-important game. Pretty sure all the players are comfortable with these position they've been batting at, and it's a lot more psychological than anything. Am dead sure now they won't drop Nasir after today's game. And we have a surplus of spinners who can do the same job as Sunny. So Mominul looks likely to have a go instead of Imrul opening. And according to me, odds are good Mominul will come good as an opener.

Thing is, Mominul being a middle order batsman, and never tested as an opening batsman, playing at QF as an opening batsman will be a huge risk. He might do well if we are chasing, which I hope we are. If we are chasing our chances go from 40% to 60% provided and if we can restrict India to < 250 then it may as well be 75%.

Yah, Mominul is surely a better batsman than Kayes who is just not going to perform having flown in in the middle nor do I expect him to, it is just asking for too much. We have experimented, hasn't worked, move on. Have Sarkar open, and honestly the whole squad seems perfect. We only have that one spot left.

1) Tamim
2) Sarkar
3) Mahmudullah
4) Shakib
5) Mushfique
6) Shabbir
7) Nasir
8)
9) Mashrafe
10) Rubel
11) Taskin.

Times like these, I miss Zia. But I think Sunny should fill that spot. He creates pressure by blocking runs. And other wicket takers like Shakib and Rubel and Taskin and Mashrafe can come in and take Indian batsmen out.

1)Don't care (probably Tamim)
2)Dont' care, wont make difference
3)Sarkar
4)Riyad
5)Mushfiq
6)Shakib
7)Shabbir
8)Nasir
9)Mortaza
10)Taskin
11)Rubel

Taijul and Sunny have been unimpressive, and this is India we are talking about, no amount of spinners will do anything, so its better to go in with an all out pace attack. Also don't see us bowl out India with their batting line-up they have, we should try to out-bat them too. I can only hope our top order can at least put on some runs on the board

I'll go with this lineup. I don't think it will make a difference if we pick Mominul over Imrul, but Imrul seems slightly undercooked ATM. Our specialist SLAs were less than impressive in the last two matches and would not be effective against a really formidable Indian batting lineup. 8 batsmen will be needed to score around 280 to 300 in the MCG. Lets hope that we win this match!

I don't know whether Mominul can do better in these conditions... but one thing I sure want is that Mushfiq to bat before Shakib...

3. Sarkar
4. Riad
5. Mushfiq
6. Shakib
7. Sabbir
8. Nasir
9. Mashrafee
10. Rubel
11. Taskin

My lineup for QF game. Imrul is a complete waste and he's occupying the crease for only 2 minutes. I expect Mominul to do what an opening batsman is supposed to do - play out the first 10 overs. Rest I think is a no brainer.

1. Tamim
2. Mominul
3. Soumya
4. Mahmudullah
5. Mushy
6. Shakib
7. Sabbir
8. Nasir
9. Mash
10. Rubel
11. Taskin

The team I want

Tamim
Sarkar
Riyad
Mushy
Shakib
Viv Richards
Sabbir
Nasir
Mash
Rubel
Taskin

The team that will play

Tamim
Kayes
Sarkar
Riyad
Mushy
Shakib
Sabbir
Nasir
Mash
Rubel
Taskin

The specialist spinners have been horrible this tournament, otherwise I would have put one in.

Bowler combination

1st Mash
2nd Rubel
3rd Taskin
4th Shakib
5th Riyad/Sarkar/Sabbir/Nasir (ave 2.3 overs each)

^ Make Imrul beat him and send them both back for Liton and Jubair.

On a serious note. Mya needs to start opening with Riyad and Rahim coming up the order. They're putting too much energy on making it R-L-R-L combo.

I will sue you. How dare you displace Viv from his natural 2nd down spot?

Since we are getting Viv back, can we get Haynes and GG to open as well? WHT, get Richie Richardson as well at 1st down.

Whatever their ages are. I think they can still take on Yadav, Mohit. Definitely Ashloss.

Keep the same team, as it was today. Against NZ

Just get Mash in for Tajul. Indians are masters of playing spinners. We have Shakib and mullah for that and 3 Pacers. 8 bats man wow, we are ready to chase a big score.

Trust me, After Dancing with wild NZ Swing, Tamim and Imrul will see shami throwing Roshogolla at them...this unit will bat superb in next match, whoever is the opponent. I guess this bowling unit will also be pretty capable to keep them under check.

No experiments now !! Only Experiemce will take them forwards, so let's not drop the people who had the unique experience of playing in Aus NZ conditions against the best teams now...no newcomer or back bencher can match them...even if that's Kayes.
