If tighten up a little in his approach, Momin the Little Big Guy will make a wonderful Test bat. His lack of height can become an advantage and not the other way around. Early days but he seems to have a big future ahead of him. I only worry about his concentration span. Needs to work on that.

Although it is "cool" these days to bash Tamim, I reckon he is the best BD player in green pitches with lateral movement.Aside from the obvious (his hundreds in England) I also remember him top scoring in a BD vs Aus match down under. Now that is a feat matched only by Ashraful.

He was the best bd player of pace and on green tops when he used to play his natural agressive but confident game. This new Tamim is confused and of two minds very often. This doesnt help when you are playing against the world class seamers.

That was pathetic from Tamim. Almost getting out while clamoring for a 50 against Zim.

So, after tea, we are still not particularly ahead in this game. It seems we are just doddering along. I wonder what the plan is.
@ Gowza: Good find. How does his avg holds up against Rajins?

Better, rajins was 25.93, riyad is currently at 30.02. Riyad has a couple more 50s and a century that rajin never got. Riyad achieved it in 5 less innings and 1043 less balls.

I think we have scored more runs than Zimbabwe can cope up with- 120ish

But I think the batsman in the middle need to step on the runs. Now, should Zimbabwe bat well they can draw the match and that is something we definitely don't want, do we? We have to win this test match.

Wow, you are really thorough. So Riyad is definitely a step up from Rajin. I had a feeling this would be the case, but now we have statistical proof.

Don't worry much!

He might need to bowl a total of eight over or so!

Not really. Its been a gripping session. Zim bowlers are relentless in their discipline. Pitch isn't an easy one, either. Bangladesh did well not to lose any wicket -that usually means for us a cluster of wickets (saved). More time we spend on this pitch the more difficult it will be for the Zim batters. So, its all good so far.

I would expect the wheel of runs to turn a little faster after the break, though.

2 pace bowlers for us will be such a waste on this slow wicket.

The best thing about this test match so far has been the poignant commentary from Dav Whatmore.
