I'll bet half the team tokes up recreationally. Marijuana is so ubiquitous these days, and relatively harmless, that I don't really care if he smokes that asides from the fact that any sort of smoking is bad for the fitness of a pro athlete. But given that never stops guys in the NFL or the NBA, can't really complain.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if our players actually toke up. Josh Howard, an NBA player, admitted to doing it and claimed that 95% of the players toke up. You see them performing at a high level still.
Shahadats problem is not the green, it's his ego. He thinks he's so much better than he actually is. Also he bowls with absolutely no plan which is why more often than not, he gets hammered.

Forget all that, I think we should get them some Adderall. I would love to see Ashraful on Adderall. He's got all the symptoms of ADD. Maybe he will finally be able to concentrate in his game.

Naah my rant wasn't against Ashraful. It's not his fault that he got selected and all the best to him. I am angry at the inconsistency and lack of proper method in the selection process. We need to identify positions and then pick the suitable player and not pick the player first and then assign him random positions that are available. Now a promising no 3 is opening for the team (Anamul), a genuine middle order batsman playing at no 8 (Mahmudullah), and god knows where Ashraful will be played ( it could be opening as well). We also picked four pacers for Sri Lanka. Why? Can we really afford to go with 3 pacers when the choices are between Abul, Shahadat and Robiul? The opposition will likely score 450 in a day with all the short pitch stuff on offer. Why didn't we pick three specialist spinners considering Elias Sunny is out of form off late?

How can a guy who wasn't even in the preliminary squad get selected into the final squad? I would start Jahurul ahead of Ashraful at #3.

He is too high a player to get selected in preliminary squad and not play in main IX. If he is in he is IN. Don't waste his time

Any pace bowler in BD can do better than Shahadat and Abul, they just can't simply do any worse than these two, prove me wrong useless selectors, after 1st test if you can.

But according to the selectors they dont have the raw pace that these 2 gems have. Nazmul is a bowler similar to Kulasekera and could have been definitely tried.

Not sure about Raju...he is young and has just stared his career.though,he is not successful so far with the ball i like his bowling action and he has pace too....can also bat.how could the selectors drop him after his brilliant test 100 in the last test series? The main problem is he was selected very early.....should be selected after performing and playing atleast 25+ 1st class and A matches.we have to prepare players for the national team,we shouldn't pick the players according to their merit and then make them international standard.

Bangladesh should opt for 4 pacers in the practice match to see which two can survive a bit, also they should not expose the spinners to them especially gazi,

jahurul should replace ash for the first test, but i think ayub will have to sacrifice himself instead. the selectors would say ash is for stabilizing the team with experience

You don't have to bowl really fast to take wicket, more faster these two bowl more faster ball goes to boundary.

Bangladesh is led by Mushfiqur Rahim as the Bangladesh captain Shahib Al Hasah will not participate due to injury...

Whoever gets picked between Mominul and Marshall should be given the whole Test series. There's no point dropping a play after 1 Test. The other player can still gain experience from being in that environment and will prepare them better for the next series.
