Ya that's very true actually. In my opinion his position should be ahead of Shuvo. He took the wickets of Ash, Mushy and Shuvagoto which is impressive. Not only that but in the practice match before the team headed to Zimbabwe, he played really well. So for sure the guy should be considered over Shuvo for the 3rd spinners spot.

After analyzing the scorecard I reiterate that SN sucks! 50 off 76 balls?! Team RR = 6.22 and SN's personal RR = 3.95. Without SN team RR was 6.99 runs an over. The most disturbing part is that he played out a minimum of 52 dot balls. That's 69% of the deliveries he faced. Looks like we have an opener crisis. All three are competing to prove who is the worst.

Oh and Shuvo sucks too! Never rated him. Faltu bowler who turns his arm around and hopes for the best. Selectors need to take a closer look at Shohag Gazi and Elias Sunny.

To solve the opener crisis I suggest trying makeshift openers against West Indies. I endorse Naeem and Mushfiq for the role. Both have opened before at different levels.

i realized that in the australia match.. he was giving away free sixes.. how did he do so well in domestic cricket? i think just because our domestic batsmen are crap

ভাইসব, দারুন উত্‍সাহ আর এনার্জি লইয়া ম্যাচ আপডেট ও ধারাভাষ্য দেওয়া শুরু করছিলাম সকালে, বাট দুপুর পার হওয়ার পর আমার এনার্জির লেভেল কমতে শুরু করে এবং সেই সাথে উত্‍সাহও,বৃষ্টির একদেড় ঘন্টাটা বেশি ক্ষতি করেছে। শেষ পর্যন্ত মোবাইলের চার্জ ফুরিয়ে যাওয়ার পর এবং ম্যাচ কনটেস্টের সম্ভাবনা কমে আসায় আপনাদেরকে না জানিয়েই মাঠ ত্যাগ করি খেলা শেষ হওয়ার বেশ আগেই,সেজন্য দুঃখিত! আপনাদের সবাইকে অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ,ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ সিরিজে আবার দেখা হবে মাঠে।

Just saw the match scorecard on crapinfo and the first thing that surprised me was Ashrafail getting some runs!! And Naeem Islam scored a ton? Must've been an exciting match...

hahaha.. it is not about getting runs in his case it is his consistency which always gives us panic and heart failure symptom during the real matches..

About Nayeem, he is a good batsman and known as "SIXER Nayeem" in our domestic circle but when he comes to international matches he forget the word "SIXER" and the promises and potential he got he just can't display them properly..

By the way, what happened to you guys, Vitory all of a sudden in form of very ordinary bowler against Pakistan, So, I guess Tamim is right

Ditto... Naeem, Ashraful scoring runs is good for them and also for our cricket but that doesnt mean we again shuffle the squad. Ashraful for test is okay but we have plenty at 4 for ODIs and we should move past him despite his talent.

Same thing for Naeem.. He is a good at domestic cricket and only once did 6 sixes in Dhaka League, laudable inddeed. He is a performer but so is Jahirul Islam, Rubel Islam, Dhiman Ghosh, Sanjamul, Elias Sunny etc. Naeem needs to prove more than one knock to get his place back because we have players like Hom, Nasir who also promises better future and is being consistent over the years.

All in all, good to see some performance from the national team members but bowling needs to be better than only Rubel!! He wont be able to rattle the attacking West Indies side himself..Spinners, rise up!!!
