lol. Worst Under 19's team we've produced in a while. OR, worst management we've had to date. The coach is a flipping moron. Doesn't know anything about pitches/conditions.

Actually, the previous one was even worse.. the Suhrawardi Shuvo led team bundled within 70 runs in match.. atleast this squad did go to 2nd round. With coach changes, team formation being changed multipe times, you cant expect much. Other teams were preparing for 2 years under Ray Jennings or Stuart Law calbre coaches!!

As I said, if they avoid 8th position, I'd consider it a success for this team.

no hard feelings, we will finish where we belong in the rankings. Team like England, India and Pakistan have better Youngester coming through. therefore in terms of play off we will finish below them.

As i said last 10 overs of our innings will cost us the game, and it did

anyway, for the last and final game of this WC(WI or PAK), we should give Abu Haider a game as he is the only player not play a game yet.

I hope Asif gets fit so we can drop Nurul Hasan, who had an awful wc. Let Liton/Anamul keep.

Dropping Abu Jayed for D. Shabbir was insane for this game. I know S. Imran sux but wth is Basher doing with the team?? He is with the team, at least use your freaking experience

Well when the coaches have no clue what ever they are doing, the players can't do much as a unit...this is the worst bunch of team management ever...clearly incapable of prudent team selection and intellingent gameplan...the way the captain led the bowling rotation in the last 10 overs clearly suggested the coach did not put any real work towards gamelan or simply did not prepare the captain well for these matches...BCB should have let McInnes lead this team!

I dont really follow U19 games but I had been following the last few matches and man what a team we have got! The first 3 can bat and then its downhill from number 4. These guys definitely need some batting practise. 100 runs+ partnership and then a major collapse.... Pathetic!! Simply pathetic!! We don't even deserve the 8th place - just take the 10th place and go home!!!!

90 percent players in this tournament are playing in Australia first time. I don't hear other coaches saying "we can/will beat Aussies" --banglanews24.com or any other captain saying "we can beat any teams" --cricinfo...

During photoshoot Only our captain shows up with suit while rest 15 captains dress with national gear!

Yes, we are special alright!

Akabir77: Agreed 110%..But notice that most of us are not blaming the players. Yes, we expected a bit more from them but not bashing them more as much as we are utterly dissapointed with the management team. When Stuart Law, Ray Jennings like coachs are at the helm for a team, we have Sarwar Imran- who I think is best suited as bowling coach for the team than head coach for U19 squad. We also changed the team just 2 month ago after losing out to Afghanistan U19 team. But what really changed? A BKSP manager being replaced by another manager but the core fundamentals remained the same. Shane Jurgeson was there as a consultant coach appointed later.

When other teams were preparing for 2 years, most the people didnt even know who was the coach before Sarwar Imran!! Heck even Afganistan had Geof Lawson as their coach!! In the past, we had Carlos B., Richard McKinnes coaching our U19 team, the benefit of it is pretty well known. But today, it seemed like BCB is more interested in stadiums, BPL, European tours, T20 than developing school cricket, age based teams that are key for any countrys future prospect in competitive cricket.

or may be BCB knew it doesn't matter how much you spend on the current core in australia we have no chance so they r spending money else where. IMO they have done better and beaten a srilankan team who beat them in aisa. so how long SL was getting coached?

I don't understand something. Why do people think this is a poor side?

We beat SL who has one of the best youth programmes in South Asia. We ran the (probable champs) Aussies all the way to the finish line who were playing at home, in a ground where they played all their matches so far, in a game marred by umpiring decisions. We put up another creditable performance against the Englishmen.

You guys go crazy over a meaningless victory over Afghanistan in a stupid south asian games tourney, and yet you fail to see the achievements of this young and inexperienced group of boys?

Shame on you.

We lost to Afghanistan in Asian U19. The Asian games win with Senior side T20 game was also won barely.. If you followed it, you probably noticed that we were losing badly until Rummons final heroics. I would say, Afghanistan is doing tremendously well with their limited resources but superb planning!!
