What is the meaning of that sentence? Winning the WC is a Sin? ...OR it is sin only when Brazil does not get it??? If you have this type of approach, you never feel the excitement of the WC. Anyone has right to win the WC even Serbia also. Your favorite team may get defeat one day, but don't curse other team for that. WC creates harmony and develops generosity....so plz open your mind and try to see......

WoW!! What a first half between Ghana & USA. Ghana is leading 2-1. Controversial penaltry at the death of first half and Appiah strikes from that.

Pele said that the referee did a good job so far in the tournament, I say they did a below average job so far and many of their calls were bad calls and caused teams to exit the tournamet.

Ronaldo scored two goal but he looked simply crap, unfit and imbalanced.

I think Ronaldo get his form back. But it has to remember that Japan is not so strong team and Japan got a goal also. Brazil is very lucky; they will face Ghana in the 2nd round. All the Heavy Names go to the 2nd Round already except France. See what happens on tonight. After seeing all the Matches, the top 10 teams are (In my Opinion, nothing else):

1) Germany----They play very much attacking Football, good to see but still they have problem in Defense.
2) Argentina---If they can play what they did against Serbia, it will be very hard to stop them.
3) Spain---After long time they play like what they deserve.
4) Brazil---They have all the stars, but good football?? I have a little bit doubt about it.
5) Ghana---go Ghana go, Ghana deserve all my support.
6) Portugal
7) Italy
8) Holland
9) England
10) Ivory Coast.

Mexico is probably one team that didn't deserve to be in the second round. They played in one of the weakest group in the world cup. It should have been Ivory Coast instead of Angola in that group. Ivory Coast was put in a group with teams like Holland and Argentina - Talk about the group of death. Mexico would have lost to Ivory. The other team in the gourp was Iran and as always, they were ALL talk, one of the worst teams in the world cup.

For the Mexican's, the mexican defender going for the hand in the penalty area was 'complimented' by the many DIVES the mexican players took all over the field. It was pathetic. they did play better then expected against a Portugese side who sidelined some of their top players AND didn't care much about the result of the game.

Overall very entertaining game chances for both teams, bad officating with lots of cards which made it even better.

Mexico-Portugal was another fun game to watch, surprising to see a world class player like Márquez to stick his hand out like that even better to watch Omar choke on the PK for the tie.

Glad I didn't watch holland-Argentina, saw the staring lineups and saw that crespo was sitting. Didn't see it but looked like Riquelme had the one good chance. Messi probably plays better when he comes of the bench late in games

he should have scored more. atleast 2 more goals. but he scored inspite of being unfit. imagine what he could have done if he was fit.

looks like brazil is improving as a team. and ronaldo looked fitter than before. they will face ghana on tuesday and they have to work really hard if they want to beat ghana

I just saw the highlights of some of the matches. What's up defenders going for the hand of god ? Both Serbia and Croatia (or czech) had defenders give away penalty kicks for trying to stop the ball with their hands.

This world cup sucks, very very poor, illogical and unfair decisions by referee. I don't like this world cup so far, will stop following the matches if these referees keep doing the same stuff. Where did FIFA get these referees from, we definitely need robots or computers to officate the matches in the future.

Few bad decisions for the entire tournament are part of the game. I am satisfied with the refereeing. FIFA has asked the referees to crack down on any foul play and they are doing rightly so. Also the rule of 1 Yellow Card not moving to the next round should be thought of. Thats why there is so many yellow cards.

Game 1 (group match 1) yellow card
Game 2 (group match 2) did not play
Game 3 (group match 3) yellow card
......
Game 4 (second round) go sit on the bench.

Game 1 (group match 1) yellow card
Game 2 (group match 2) no yellow card
Game 3 (group match 3) yellow card
........
Game 4 (second round) go sit on the bench.

If a player has one yellow card in the end of first round, that will be erazed in the second round play.

Game 1 (group match 1) no yellow card
Game 2 (group match 2) no yellow card
Game 3 (group match 3) yellow card (this will be erazed)
..........
Game 4 (second round) yellow card
Game 5 (quarter finals) can still play (cause from game four all previous record has been cleaned.)

Game 1 (group match 1) no yellow card
Game 2 (group match 2) no yellow card
Game 3 (group match 3) no yellow card
.........
Game 4 (second round) yellow card
Game 5 (quarter finals) yellow card
Game 6 (semi finals) go sit on the bench.

Game 1 (group match 1) no yellow card
Game 2 (group match 2) no yellow card
Game 3 (group match 3) yellow card
.......
Game 4 (second round) yellow card
Game 5 (quarter finals) no yellow card
Game 6 (semi finals) yellow card
Game 7 (finals or 3rd/4th decider) go sit on the bench.

Hope this helps.

Very common mentality in some Bagnladeshis. Every time Brazil doesnt win, its a conspiracy. How was France's win undeserved. ??

Brazil just switched off in one match and lost it.

Its more than few bad decisions, today tunisia didn;t get penalty but ukraine got one without a foul. even the match commentators for many of the games mentioned referee made poor judgement and were below standard. To me there is no standard at all, there is no balance or direction. Its simply awful and frustrating to see how referee can ruin a match and the excitement.

In football, giving or not giving one penalty, raising a card makes a huge diff on the outcome of the match.

missing the point again!! it does not say Ronaldo took Drugs. it says ronaldo mysteriously got sick right before the most important game of his life and was drowned in the hospital with painkillers. With the French security around not hard to speculate why and who did it. When you take out the main threat of the opponent team how hard it is ... France didn't win the cup fairly. end of story!!!
