Shahadat bowling to Sehwag..... gives me a shiver thinking of the aftermath...

Nazmul will be missed. Get fit soon Nazmul...

I think Rubel or Shafiul will take nazmul's place in the team. I don't see Shahadat making it to the eleven with his current form.

Can't rely much on Rubel and Shafiul. Looks like Rasel's going to have to do all the hard work. We might even see spinners come in early.

Now I think Dolar and Robin have a genuine case to complain. I would have picked one of them ahead of Shahadat.

I just don't understand this continous fascination with Shahadat!! What has he done to deserve this??

Agree with Ehsen - 100% Dollar or Robin should've gotten the nod ahead of Shahadat..

They better not play shahadat, he ruins the hard work done by other bowlers most of the time by giving away too many runs off his overs. We should go with rasel-rubel-shafiul for our pace attack.

The only problem about Rasel is that he is not performing well for a long time. He was so good during the world cup. He has lost his teeth since then, probably due to injury or something else. So I am skeptical about his performance. Nazmul is doing quite well recently.

IMO, not having Nazmul will prolly effect more at death than in first two PPs. We have seen in DPL how ineffective Shakib and other SLAs can be at death. IMO, we should pick both Shafi and Rubel to cover last 10 overs, while Rasel can open with one of them.

agreed.

this is bad news...nazmul was in peak form, and was bowling very well, IMO.

lets just hope rajib doesn't play, and if he does, keeps his econ under 6.5 and takes a couople of wickets.

rasel and rubel it will have to be. and the death overs are going to be bad...we'll prolly have to throw razzak in at the death (w/rubel) and cross our fingers.

i agree, not with tareq aziz, but with mahbubul, or even with dolar mahmud as a good replacement for nazmul hossain. shahadat isn't good, and he didn't improove that much i think after his come back, when he was dropped from the side early in 2009. mahbubul alam does swing the ball, new or old, windy or not, he is a genuine swinger of the ball, and i don't think we have that now. . e.
well, now it will be an uphill battle to defeat 2 depleted sides.

now we have Rasel, Rubel, Shafiul, and Shahadat. now this area is definitely our weakest area in the team. I am just hoping that we don't need Shahdat in the series. Nazu was doing very well last couple of series.

To be absolutely honest, I wouldn't mind opening with Rasel and Razzak. Sakib coming on in the 10th over. Riyad and Naeem being the other two. Aftab and possibly, Ash can be the fill-in. That way we can include Shahriar in the team.

I really do not want to give Sehwag and the other Indians pace to play with. I know they can hit spinners too but our medium pacers without control would be just meat and drink.

I haven't seen Shafi, so can't comment !

Shahadat is a better bowler than Dollar any day....
I would have actually gone for Shuvasish over Shahadat / robin/dollar any given day....

Since Shuvasish was not even on the 26 men, I would have acually gone for Kapali...

atleast we wud know that shahadat wont feature in main XI.

should be only 2 pacer, due to najmul's injury. hope pace pair should be

1.rasel-shafiul
2.rasel-rubel
3.shafiul-rubel

worst case scenario----
rubel--shahadat

i dont think najmul's injury is that serious, they should have waited for his recovery or delay the name

atleast we could have think about mashrafe's fitness, or adding another new pacer like subhashis roy or ex pacer--tareq aziz/talha

in ODI,any one could have been better than shahadat
