Doesn't matter if we never play again. Living is more important than playing cricket. BCB should demand equal respect...of course Loitta doesn't give a f**k and has sold the team's security out for an ICC presidency he might not even get. Screw the agreement with teh PCB, which was a ripoff to begin with, they already got Mani as president, its our turn regardless of whether we tour or not.

Doc, I'm all for stopping this tour. But you know what, I think the leading players (Shakib, Tamim) will definitely protest and sit out this series and give Lotus the middle finger. Hell, Tamim got dropped from this AC squad, why would he risk his lard-filled belly for Loitta's ambitions? He's not going to take that, and he shouldn't.

I predict, our players' association will refuse to tour leaving BCB in between a rock and a hard place.

To hell with the BCB (ie Lotus).

Some heading sequence & prediction:
  • Sakib (IPL, County) & Tamim (County) demoted for attitude issue
  • Warning: Least spoken starts speaking (Mushfiq’s BPL statement)
  • Handling over team selection
  • Delayed announcement for Cpt-V.Cpt
  • A Khan: Tick out
  • Probably Bangladesh finishes another miserable series, Asia cup
  • Anyone left there to oppose my decision over Pak series? Law!?

Irresponsible Mostofa Kamal...his pakistan love may cost his dream of being ICC President. Now, other board officials will say, 'this man is not worried about the security of his own country's fellow cricketers, how will he ensure the security of other countries' ?

For once, I dont blame ICC.
If the two respective boards are so eager to go on with the series despite the all the risks there is, why should they care ??

If BCB dont care for the their own boys and are ready to risk the lives, so be it.

The world cricket doesnt care if something happen to Bangladeshi cricketers.
Hec, even the Bangladeshi Govt even care.

Local officials in Pakistan shouldn't mean bangladeshis.

While ICC panel umpires won't get security clearance from ICC, so all you can have is low quality umpiring. So overall, there will be a lots of wrong/biased decisions, apart from the security threats... That reduces the quality of the matches further.

ICC elite panel has two top class pak umpires..cant they go to their own country??...send them..Low quality umpiring problem solved

and if icc thinks its unsafe for Dar and Rauf to go to their own country..why in the blue hell are we going there

This series is not happening . Players association will have a final say . I am sure they will have a pair to stand up against BCB and and refuse to tour . Win win situation for Bangladesh . PCB cannot feel cheated as BCB tried its best and showed initiative . If players wont tour there is nothing much BCB can do.

Ultimately I see either no series happening or some series in Dubai , which would be perfect for my liking .

How did BD allow its players to be part of FICA

Btw would FICA be able to stop its players from taking part in this tour or is it the boards call?

As I've been saying, situation in Pakistan is far from stable this days. Mustafa Kamal has gone nuts, what are they, guinea pigs for him?

I hope the tour get canceled - as much as I would like to see BD play more games and cricket return to Pakistan.

Who says change can't happen quickly? I say we send all of our umps, BCB overlords and selectors there but find ways to get Shakib, Nasir and Bijauy to miss the flight. Then get ROK, Ashraful, Mofees and Kapali to take turns driving the bus through ISI/Taleban strongholds ...

FICA is merely a body that seeks to protect player's rights. Essentially it's a player's trade union. It has no power beyond that and membership is totally voluntary. Where is the problem in that? Perhaps some would prefer that these guys were the slaves to corrupt cricket boards? The proposed tour of Pakistan raises many questions. All the goodwill in the world cannot prevent a terrorist attack if those perpetrating it are prepared to die in the attempt. All one would have to do would be to drive a large car bomb at a team bus and the result would be a major coup for those terrorists. FICAs involvement shows that they care about the welfare of the Bangladeshi players. Would it be preferable for FICA to close their eyes and pretend that there are no potential hazards? Are the BD players to be considered disposable assets in an experiment? Is the ICC using them as laboratory rats? If FICA cannot raise these concerns what is the point in it's existence?

I was just surprised. Asian boards do not give any damn about their players and I was surprised both SL & BD have allowed their players to be part of FICA. I believe in Aus/Eng these unions help their players negotiate pay and advise them not to tour. BD players never seemed to have such liberty.

FYI PCB and BCCI do not allow any player unions.

This tour may actually be the end of cricket in Pakistan.

Exactly. Our stupidity won't convince the other boards to be stupid.
