I am confused... who said that Zimbabwe will not challenge Bangladesh? I am sure everyone here thinks it will be a very interesting matchup if it takes place

If your comment was directed towards him than it should be quoted. Otherwise it seems like the message applies to everyone.

Anyways, If Zimbabwe agrees to visit, it will be a great tour. Bangladesh will be favorites but they will have the last series in mind. Zimbabwe will get valuable practice so cant see why they would say no.

Well played rinat. @Zimfan one person does not represent the whole BC community. We will always have our friendly rivalry.

We hope Zimbabwe agree to play us. One more thing to add is few of your players are already playing in Dhaka league so they will find it quite easy to adapt, and Bangladesh will find Zimbabwe side at their best. It will be a lie if I say we dont want Zim getting well beaten but nothing can beat any close encounters.

Looking forward to it.

Welcome back Zimfan. I think we're all hoping it happens. Both teams are starved for cricket and it'd be great for both teams to play.

Btw, I went to your forum and was surprised to see you guys paying attention so closely to the DPL. Let your friends know they are more than welcome to come join us in the action

Last two series by a combined 5-3 margin which is fairly close, especially considering a single Mushfiqur slog could have leveled it 4-4.

Bangladesh conditions should tilt the balance in our favor heavily.

Playing Tests against Zimbabwe at home is a fantastic idea(at least three tests) The last time we played them in Tests in Bangladesh was back in 2005. Three tests should be satisfactory.

Let's not be overconfident. We have improved a lot, but still have major issues. More cricket can only help.

Like I said, we were thoroughly outplayed last time to lose 2-1. But we were a single Mushy mishit away from winning the previous series 3-2 and we were a dot ball away from winning the 2006 series 3-2 as well. So two single deliveries could have made the difference between 4-6 and 6-4. Thats not a whole lot considering 10 games span 6000 deliveries.

At any rate you know we'll be overconfident but the truth is that we're expected by all non Zim sources to sweep the series, if it ends up happening.

Well done! We need to play 3 Tests, 5 ODI's and 5 T20's!

I wouldn't mind a tri-series with the associates as well, provided it's not at Mirpur, Chittagong or Sylhet!

Cricket Zimbabwe(fb page) confusion reigns... ZC says there is no tour... But I believe BCB sent a proposal to ZC. Lets wait and see, time will tell.

It will not be there until the tour is finalized.

Rather going for the whole series we should call them for 7 match T20 series, (that is our priority at the moment)
Also most of the zim players are here @ dhaka playing dpl, so zim cricket board will not have to think much about the plane fares

Even if the tour cancels i think they should organize a T20 tournament with the clubs, that would also be interesting. As bpl not gonna happen this time

Is papon playing a two way game here? It could be that he just wanted to calm us fans down by proposing or so called proposed to ZC cricket for a tour. Sometime's bd politics is so hard to understand. I won't think negative, I hope it's true and ZC accept the offer.
