The tournament is in Australia, so forget about advancing and pray that we don't lose to Tunisia.

Easy. We should look to win at least 3 games in that group and not get pounded in the other two!

Happy with the fixture. Unlike the previous versions, the minnows will get more matches to play in the group stages.

I think we got the easier group (Comparatively) even after considering the conditions.

I think it is a good group for us as would say we are not far off from being evenly matched with those teams.

There is a possibility Afghanistan will get one of the qualifier places in our group so have to prepare accordingly and must show these guys respect given the fact we haven't played them before in a 50 over game (I think)

I suggest inviting them over for a 3 match ODI series at some point in the next year leading up to the world cup.

We will win against the associate team and maybe against NZ and then we will get beaten black and blue by the rest!

man I am just happy that we won't be playing Zim or Ireland, these minnows always beat us in WCups.
Don't know what to say otherwise because a lot can change in 2 years.

We'll be playing both NZ and Australia on their home turfs. We're screwed. Not even going to bother dreaming. Bloody hell I wish we were a slightly more capable side. So hopeless away from home.

We will be the Champions in the WC 2015.
Before that, we will win the T20 WC 2014.

Sri Lanka is beatable.

We beat England on last World Cup, so I don't see why we can't do it again. England usually under performs in World Cups.

New Zealand and OZ will be hard at home, I agree.

Facing Aus and NZ in Australia will be problematic. Eng Will torment us with short balls. Our only realistic chance is SL.

Two more years to go..Hope guys like Taskin Shabbir Shubho are all set to play the big guys by then. BCB must arrange few A team tours over there to have our budding players get exposed to that condition. Lets go Tigers

It is a tough group. NZ are becoming a good ODI side and beating them in their own conditions will be tough. But luckily we don't have to play IRE and ZIM. We play good when we have a minnow tab but when we become favorites we lose to associates.

At the same time, it will be very nice to see Shakib,Tamim, Mushfiq playing in the huge grand stadiums of MCG, SCG (?).

I stopped dreaming as soon as I heard the World Cup was going to be in Australia. That was a few years ago. Bangladesh '11 was really our only chance and a damn good one. But the sissies spilled it like you would expect them to. 58, 78 then celebrate like you've won the cup after beating Ireland. Seriously.

Qualifiers 2 and 3, namely a couple of obese fast bowlers from Tanzania and Turkmenistan are licking their lips.

From BCB Media:

DHAKA, Tuesday, 30 July 2013
Media Release
ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2015: Bangladesh captain relishing the challenge
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim expects the hardest of competitions but is looking forward to the challenge of tackling the likes of Australia, New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Rahim was speaking after the pools and itinerary of the World Cup was announced in Wellington today. The tournament will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015.
Rahim said: “This will probably be the toughest World Cup for us. The conditions will be perfect for Australia, New Zealand and England and it will be totally different to playing those sides in the subcontinent. Sri Lanka also have more experience there. It is extremely important therefore how we prepare.
“I am particularly excited with the prospect of playing in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide for the first time. New Zealand is also a beautiful country and I enjoy going there. We have had some notable performances in Hamilton during our last visit and the weather there also suits us. The game against the hosts could be quite a treat.
“The Bangladeshi expatriate community has grown over the years in Australia and New Zealand and that is a huge encouragement for us.”
The 14 sides (10 Full Members and four qualifiers), as per their rankings on the Reliance ICC ODI Rankings table on 31 December 2012, have been divided into two pools:
Pool A
Pool B
England
South Africa
Australia
India
Sri Lanka
Pakistan
Bangladesh
West Indies
New Zealand
Zimbabwe
Qualifier 2
Ireland*
Qualifier 3
Qualifier 4

The top four sides from each pool will progress to the quarter-finals, followed by the two semi-finals and the final. All the knock-out matches will have reserve days.

Why are we qibbling over groups? Do you want a group comprising of Q2, Q2, Q4, IR, NZ, ZIM and BD? Even then Afganistan (Q2) may take the fourth place! I think we should prepare well (play a lot of games including A teams and associates) and thrive to do our best.

We need a complete Cupash or Cupwash. We have to beat all the teams cleanly....and by considerable margin.
