What's the point? They'll make him bat at #9 with a couple of fast bowlers. He's a middle order batsman but they won't make full use of his abilities.

I know NCL not equals international level. The two bowler i have mentioned hardly have any international first class tour record to analyze . But Enams test record against top 8 is really very bad. Just look at both strike rate and average of Enam against top 8. Only exception is second string WI but he palyed only 1 test against them. Thats why i think it is high time to try some body who has better prospect.

I don't know maybe they will replace raquibul with him at 5. That's not a bad idea imo.
Either Nafees or raquibul replacement, I wouldn't mind.

It is unlikely for Siddons to drop Raqib as he belongs to Siddon's dream team. SN and Ash are the odd numbers there .

I don't think Naeem would have been inducted unless they were seriously thinking of playing him. There were plenty to carry the drinks.
It looks like SN has been sold as "good against spinners". If so, why at No. 3 ?
I would have dropped SN and Kayes and taken on Zunaid and Naeem. Looks like Rubel will give way to Naeem.

Enam Jr took 5 wickets against WI in his last Test game. What's your point?
He is not ordinary against G8. How many tests he played against them?

If Naeem does not play the 2nd Test, then he shouldn't have been included in the 2nd Test. Rather he could play in NCL.

Razzak in Test? of course not. Emamul- may be, but there are better spinners playing in the NCL. If any spinner is added, I wouls support Shuruwardi or Saqlain.

he is likely to replace Imrul. SN will probably promoted to number 2.
Question: How is this pitch going to be. Is it flat? Will it crack or flatten out as the match goes on?

amar point hocche shafiul er theke razzak / enamul better batting kore. rubel er defense pretty solid. he can hang in the crease for a long time. but yeah ur right. razzak er theke enamul much better test spinner.

You know that WI team was not in full strength. He played total 11 tests against top teams excluding WI, performance was very ordinary, check the link in post 27.

hopefully they play him, otherwise he should have been left to play in the NCL. i guess siddons is high on SN and has the same issue as many others when it comes to ash (always wants to give him just one more chance).

I have a problem with the logic of not equating domesctic matches and international matches and then based on that, not emphesizing the value of domestic performance. My understanding is that players should be considered for international matches only if they perform well in domestic matches. So there is link between domestic and international matches. Does not necessarily means that performing well in the domestis equates to performing well in international matches. However, players who are already in the national team, must perform excellent in the domestic cricket. It makes sense because they have domestic experience and on top of that, internatioal experience. My problem is that if our national players do not perform well in the domestic matches and others without being in the national team are doing much better, then we need to think about it.

^ Yorker, that has been one of my believes for a while now. If one can not swim in the swimming pool, how do you expect him/her to cruise in the ocean? I think we[all test teams] should go back to 1950s style team selection, when there used to be 3-4 game played between the top 30odd players in the nation and the best performers there would make the national team
