On a serious note, I am actually looking forward to them Aussie bowlers. Due to lack of series between us and them haven't got chance to watch their bowlers actually. Wonder if the barrier of 160 can be broken again. Prepare for some gore. It will get ugly. Today they pounded Windward Isles by 101 runs.

We need them to win or lose very badly so that their NRR gets raped. And then we need to win this one obviously.

My XI:
Tamim
Mushy+
Ashraful
Shakib
Riyad
Aftab
Naeem
Mashrafe
Shafiul
Razzak/Rasel

Imrul won't be able to handle the pace. So no point in playing him. Razzak bowled a really good over at the end. I am torn between him and Rasel.

No matter whoever we pick, Tait and other pacers are going to rape us bad. We couldn't even take the heat of Sami, what will Nannes do to us? just Imagine

At least there is no World T20 next year. And by the time the next one starts in 2012 hopefully our selectors will understand what a T20 team is.

oh please don't blame the selectors, blame our incompetent bowlers, which bowlers would you have picked over Mash, Shuvo, Razzak,Shaf and Rubel?

your team a few months ago didn't even have Ashraful and who was the top scorer today

pace wouldnt be a problem UNLESS it seams around and does stuff. the pitch isnt too pace friendly and my expectation is that the extra pace might help players like tamim and riyad as they are better players of pace attack. But back of the mind i know its wishful thinking and im really underestimating aussie pace attack. They are really good in pace business.

It wasn't the pace that killed us, It was the accuracy of Sami and Amir at the closing stage which costed us.Had sami bowled as he bowled in his first over, the story would have been different.

i didnt at all think pak bowling did the trick. Although amer was good but overall it was sort of OK. They had a good total on board and they just did enough to defend it. The turning point was shakibs wicket. Thats what cost us the match towards the end.

At the point when we needed 50 off 30, it was a mental game. No side could afford to break. Had Pak bowlers panicked, our job would have been a lot easier. Now one doesn't need a screaming inswinging yorker at that stage, a dot ball can do almost equal damage. Sami refused to yield, so Shakib had to take risk. That was the point when we lost the plot. If we had a Pollard coming after Shakib, though, it would have been another scenario entirely. Ultimately we have to rue the lack of big hitter down the order.

so basically youre sayng given the same bowling attack, if pollard had come in after shakib during that stage we had a chance ? You just proved my point then.
Plus i dont think shakib got out because sami and co was firing in remarkable good line and length but because he was tired and didnt time it well. their bowling was fair not remarkable.

Ash has done his job for the tournament and extended his selection for next one year. Don't expect him to do well again in the consequetive matches - never happened before.

Let's spare the selectors on this one, really!!! How would the selectors know that a seemingly proven/veteran SLA bowler bowl aiming the leg stumps?? But saying that I wonder if Mashrafee is ready yet to bowl at his best. If not, why not wait and play somebody who is truly match fit? We all wish and pray that Mash is playing but it does no good if he cannot contribute the way he himsel would like to. Hopefully he just was off-color in the first match and be much better in the next one. God knows how desperately we need few good opening overs from our bowlers.

How about the wicketkeeper open the innings with Tamim? Be it Mushy or Omi? It will open up one slot in the playing eleven for ????? Aftab, Rasel? And why Shuvo, how will he contribute?? With bat, or with ball? I don't think with either at least not yet!
