Very good cricketer, but not good enough to make our XI. Not as good an all rounder as Shakib. But a very good cricketer, the best Afghan have had.

Only Dawlat and Hamid might make our XI, but I'd still take Mustafiz (2nd only to Starc in the world currently) and Taskin over either of them.

Nabi is a good enough cricketer to make any team in the world.

^^ Nabi will get into England, Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka easily.

He will find it difficult to get into Australian team as they have quite a few pace bowling allrounders and Zampa.

The only team he doesn't stand a chance to get into is India.

Mahmudullah Riyad is our Nabi Equivalent i think...Mashrafee doesn't give Riyad the ball enough otherwise, I think Riyad has definitely improved his bowling since his debut in 2007.

Afghan think thank went above and beyond in terms of preparing for this series. They knew that Bangladesh would prepare spin-friendly tracks in the absence of Mustafizur. Notice how they intentionally bowled bouncers to Mashrafee. Kudos to them for doing their research and homework.

They came here to win but due to inexperience and lack of killer instinct(reminiscent of Old Bangladesh) came up short in the first ODI.

I think they intentionally dropped Hamid Hassan and Shapoor Zadran knowing that Bangladesh would be expecting them and hence in Mirpur pitches they would likely get hammered.

Yeah........I don't think they will celebrate even if they win the series.

This is a team that knows that the first game was theirs as well till the Shakib 1 run over.

Still our series to lose. I only rate Shahzad, Stanikzai, Nabi and Rashid. Need to have the balls to stand up to these 4 guys. The rest are quite manageable.

he did get a bad call and i am not saying it's an excuse, but i stay up all night on weekdays to watch shakib not rahmat and some stupid umpire gives him out without thinking twice and waste the whole game for me and millions of others is not right.

Would you go to a concert and pay 2k and then find out the lead signer will sing only 2 songs without any reasons of that singer?

I don't think he said he was absolutely confident his team would win.

He said that should his side go on to win the match then he will celebrate along with his team-mates, unlike their subdued celebrations 3 days back.

Lets not talk, we'd be pretty damn confident in winning a series too against a higher ranked team if we were in the same spot as them (beating the XI, practically winning the first ODI bar a choke and then winning the second ODI).

And it is not as if our players don't talk big either

Well played Afghanistan. They definitely fought a lot and showed great professionalism this time around.

As for Nabi, he had every right to say what he said. He has matured a lot and there was nothing wrong in what he said.

Nasir maybe, but sabbir is way better batsmen than Nabi and nabis bowling isn't a must in our current team

Those nutters would declare war on him if he ever says that during a Ind-Afg series, lol. Far more mature response in this thread.

Nabi would start over Nasir/Arafat/Taijul/Liton I'd imagine. Should push Riyad for a spot too, but Riyad is well-established in the team.

Will be keeping an eye on their young Afridi.
