could not ask for a better group... Dutch/Ireland/WI ----> must win...and surely we can beat any of those big teams like SA/IND/ENG!!

Nice to see the grouping of WC11. Bangladesh should win at least 3/4 match and could even march in to the semifinal by catching a couple of big fishes. Best of luck, tigers.

Okay, easy, people. West Indies are likely to have their top players back. And so we can't guarantee a win against WI. A win against Eng is more likely because of their spin-playing skills (or lack of). We would be able to see that next Feb, how good England can cope (even though with some top players getting rested)....Overall, GOOD group I must say. SL and Pak would've been too powerful in spinning pitches. Aus plays spin well and if not, still a very stubborn team which is good to avoid. NZ would've been a weaker opponent instead of SA. But anyways: We MUST win Ire and Neth match and also should strangle Eng and WI as they are our best chances to get holds of. We have less chances against Ind and SA in group stages, but still ''bina dome nahi debo shuchogro medini (have i got it right? )''. C'mon you TIGERS.

I want a whoppin. I want England be the first team (legit top 8) to lose to us 4 times (unless we win the tri series in 2010)

I would have much preferred:

Group A - West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya.

Group B - Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka,India, South Africa, England,

But oh well!

Don't forget 2003. Imagine not making the quarters after this grouping . We have a losing World Cup record against everyone there but Netherlands

very favorable grouping for us.... but thats on the basis of Bangladesh beating Ireland (hope the WC ghosts wont haunt us again...)

Bangladesh can certainly aim for the 2nd round.... and 'dare' for the next....

BCB should take initiative to arrange the matches against West Indies, England and South Africa at Mirpur.

I feel that group A is easier, at least Bd could have won three matches.

How many matches to win to proceed to the super eights?

I guess, I've heard something like super six would be resumed in 2011(like 99 and 03 world cup). So, only 3 teams will advance into the next round.
