Spot on. But if they don't by the infinite grace of GOD, not having the best all-rounder and the second best ODI WK in world in the line-up is bound to make a HUGE differnce.

Both Kallis and Boucher can consolidate when necessary and then switch gears effectively and with authority. Kallis' intelligent and accurate bowling and Boucher's superb keeping are also obvious pluses.

ABD behind the stumps and Robin Peterson are not very good alternatives to these two at this point in their careers.

I have a question. Sending Kallis and boucher for 10 days, how fruitful it is for the players. Travelling how many miles? Would not they get jet lagged again when they come back to India? Geez, if I had an option I would have stayed and may be not played and give others some chance. What is the thinking process for SA management? Can someone help me out here?

The SA management are all over the place on this one. Before the series Smith was moaning about too much cricket being played and gave an interview where he implied he'd rather not play in the BD series. He then reverses this position by joining forces with Mickey Arthur against Arendse and insisting "the best team" is fielded in order to to prepare for the upcoming India tour.

They don't know knew what they want. All they know is they don't like touring in South asia, it's not as appealing as the nightlife in England, Australia or the windies...
