That's really great decision by Bashar, Now he should retire from international cricket and BCB should give him a farewell. He could be the manager or coaching staff for age groups.
Hope Alok, Nazim and Aftab will follow their guru.

Don't worry they will all come back. I think ICL is finished. Pity that they weren't available for the T20 selection now we have to go with Mithun, Rubel, Raqib etc instead of proper T20 players like Aftab, Alok and Nazim.

Hope u are right bro....Although I hope once they all come back, atleast SN and DGhosh apologises for some of their statements made to the media... We all make mistakes, so forgiving them should not be hard.

He loves playing in the West Indies, does Bashar. I think the itch for him to play in the Caribbean one more had some impact in his decision.
We just got an Upgrade in our PP if AA wants to come back.

AK & SN are not coming back. They are like khep musicians. Decent enough to play small leagues and earn a manageable living.

Obviously he can't just walk back into the team, he needs to have form behind him. But if he plays domestic cricket, then that can only be good for BD cricket. The other domestic players learn from him, and he puts pressure on the national team batsmen to perform because if he plays well - he might be in contention for one of their spots.
Age is against him, but he could potentially have another year or so left in him. For Bangladesh, you can't overlook a guy that averages 30. The only guy that even comes close to that is Shakib.

no even if they come back they wont be able to play until 2010
"The players who want to return to the domestic fold will have to formally apply to the BCB for permission, but the board, in its press release, confirmed that they would not be available for selection to the national team until December 31 2009."

he probably doesn't have any playing days left. however, with this, he has secured his financial future and his dignity as he will be able to help our younger generation, and with some coaching education, he maybe able to coach the 'A' team.

I just hope he gets respects from all around. He deserves this.
I Salute him for cutting all the ties with the rebel league.

Since Basher is the closest they have to a leader this is good. It also allows him to come back and play or coach in the domestic leagues. His international experience is always useful.

No one is above the game. If they think they are then we don't need them. If they have the desire to play for BD, they will come back anyhow. We don't need to show them anything.
At the moment, we don't need anyone except Aftab. There's no slots in the national team for Alok or Nazim.
