certain members were never born in bangladesh, have never been to bangladesh, so it is a very difficult task to learn bangla, praise goes to those who do...

yeh i know what u mean. i left dhaka when i was in 6th grade. i can still read fine but sometimes i wud read something but its hard to make sense out of it right away(especially the news papers) but i like reading humayun ahmed. his bangla is pretty easy and he writes as we speak it(not too formal). but i have trouble writing in bangla. i forget the alphabets/spellings so yes it is a difficult task as it is for my little brother. He was in like 1st grade and he doesnt read any bangla.BUt i believe its a necessity to learn to read and SPEAK FLUENT BANGLA. I HATE benglies who speak bangla with a western accent. it pisses me off
