They been playing in that position for quite some time, so no need to change them around.
you do know that the first 15 overs are PP. So you agree that Rakibul will waste balls, but you still wanna see him at number 3? that doesn't make sense.

Erm.. If an early wicket falls, obviously the gameplan needs to change. Thought that was obvious?
Though I agree about shuffling around the order so late might not work well for BD, I'll give you that. But I'm just saying that naturally, the No. 3 is the most solid batsman/the one who takes time and builds the inning for most team. Of course, unless the situation demands otherwise.

No Oram in the team, wow! That's such a relieving news! He was always extremely successful against the Tigers.
Another good news no Guptill too.

Frankly, I have zero hope as NZ is an excellent LOI side. But need to perform their guts out here, BD.
My XI (Out of possible candidates):
Assuming that Tamim won't be playing:
Jahurul Islam (Attacking player, can get some runs in the powerplay overs. LH/RH combination is an added adv)
Imrul Kayes
Rokibul Hasan (Consolidation in the middle overs)
Junaid Siddique (Consolidation, and play attacking Shots later on)
Mushfiqur Rahim
Bossman Shakib
Naeem Islam (Good slogger + decent enough bowler.)
Mashrafe Mortaza
Syed Rasel (His slow pace can be handy in slow pitches)
Abdur Razzak
Shafiul Islam (Better bowler than Rubel in slow tracks)

at this moment, if I had to pick anyone from Nayeem/Riyad[for ODI] I would go for Nayeem. Both of them are ordinary bowlers, but at #7/8 Nayeem would be a much better player, compared to Riyad who suits better at #5 and takes time to settle in.
But I would keep Junaid at 3 at Raqib at 4, Raqib's technique is a bit faulty and is not very comfortable against quality swing bowling, pushing him at #3 would mean he will be expected to play the new ball more often than not. I think Raqib is a better middle order batsman and is best utilized at #4, also why move Junaid? :P Don't fix unless it's broken, and Junaid at #3 is far better than broken ![smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

The idea of using Jahurul as opener is a fair one, though if we're training him to be a middle-order batsman, he should probably stay there too. Maybe a back up opener could get a shot, like Nazimuddin.

i agree with u and i also think that instead of shuffling the order,we could let those players(batsmen specially) play so that we can figure out our best options before the WC!
