23 hours left. I hope they have good weather to enjoy. Zim and Ireland are there for the last month so they are very well accustomed with the weather.

Tons of bowling options for Barbados as usual. Not as many good batsmen. Still, a pretty good team all around...
Also, I'm pretty certain neither Benn nor Roach will be in the side as they play NZ in Guyana the very next day...

If Ireland can beat Champions League Runner ups T&T by 9 wickets, we should be able to put in a good performance against this side...

That victory should not count for much. Trinidad didn't have Pollard and Bravo at their disposal so the result was slightly distored. These warm up games don't really matter for the home team as there is nothing to be gained by the local players by participating in them. Have Trinidad play in front of packed house for some money against Ireland, they will probabaly beat them 9 times out of 10. Irish team doesn't have too many hitters. I can think of only Kevin O'Brian and Trent Jonhston as proven hitters who can take the attack to decent opposition. Niall O'Brian is a good batsman but he can't use the long handle.

Did anyone realise that their is going to be rain for this match and not to mention the match against PAK also? ... similar thing happend in WC07. WI should stop holding WC around this time of the year since its always raining there around now -_-

This should be a very good practice match 4 the boys..Barbados is a pretty strong team and from that list they have some hard hitters..we should be able 2 win but I really dont care so much if we win or not..of course I dont wanna lose but if we do i'm not gonna be upset..its just a practice match and its just 2 give the boys a good rep..4 those who are saying 2 leave out shakib, why qould we do that? He needs 2 get his captaincy straight and have a little experience as 2 what he should do in the game situations..without shakib there it wont be that great of practice..i would want tamim in there as well but with his injury maybe he should sit out until the pakistan match comes up..my lineup would be this for tomorrow..
1. Imrul
2. Jahurul
3. Mushfiq
4. Mahmudullah
5. Shakib
6. Naeem
7. Ashraful
8. Aftab
9. Shuvo
10. Mashrafe
11. Shafiul
With this team you have all the players who are more then capable to bat which I believe will be very important..also we have 2 go with spin all the way and barbados will have a very hard time 2 bat against our spinners..Ideally I would want Mushfiq up at #3 and Mahmudullah at #4 because they need more time at the crease 2 start scoring but we all know thats not gonna happen..imagine when mushy and mahmudullah set the platform and then you have shakib, naeem, ash, and aftab coming in after? We could have a very dangerous lineup on our hands..hopefully siddons does this though..

Thats not a bad squad at all...
I dont know about giving Shafiul a place on the squad though. He's a great prospect, but he's just not ready for international T20 cricket yet. He hasnt had the best of times in our two domestic tournaments either (@8.5rpo). Rubel had a good tournament overall, but I dont think he's ready either.
I think its time to bring Rasel back into the team. He still holds one of the best bowling performances in T20I cricket from that game against WI where he went for 2.5 an over. He hasnt completely lost it either, as he was the most economical pacer (out of those in the current squad, including Mashrafe) in the NCL...

My XI for this match:
Zohirul+
Imrul
Aftab
Ash
Naeem
Riyad
Shakib*
Mashrafe
Shafiul
Rubel
Rasel
I read somewhere that Mushfiq won't play this match. So good opportunity for Zohirul to show off his skills with the gloves. I'd play four pacers on this wicket + Shakib, Naeem, Ash and Riyad as spin options. No need for Razzak. Rest Tamim for this match and the next one as well. He doesn't have to prove anything.

Tiger444 bro I'm ok with your opening pair but I think we need a little more fire power at the top of the order, we should have one of the ash or aftab bat up the order, I'd go with Ashraful at number 3, and i'd push nayeem up to number 4. IMO if we are going to chase a big total or put up a big total we need to push the tempo right from the get go, mushy and riyad are very good choices, but they tend to take a little time to settle in, we can't afford that at the top of the order, if we fall behind in the first 5/6 overs. we'll be playing catch up for the rest of the batting innings. Rubel and Shaiful should be far far away from the T20 line up. Let Rasel and Mash play these 2 matches and get their act together. I'd give shuvo one practice match and razzak the other one.

You could have 7/7 matches, we played in a 13/13 match vs South Africa lost by 10 runs

i think both rubel and shafiul should be given a crack in the warm up match.
later when we play real match then we must not see them in the squad too much

definitely want to see shuvo, rubel, shafi and jahurul in the warm-ups so we get an idea of what they have to offer for the real tournament, plus they need some experience. mash probably needs some to gauge where he's at and to get rid of the cob webs

Per Siddons, Mashrafee lost about 18-20 lbs training with KKR. And the way he played in the NCL, getting the player of the tournament award, he is definitely back in rythm. I think by the England tour, he will be full fit and at his peak. With Shafiul, Mashrafee, Rubel/Rasel its a good pace squad with variations..

I think minimum requirement to call it a T20 match is 10/10 overs. or is it 5/5? Not sure though. Like ODIs need 25 overs, half of the actual overs, T20 shouldnt be less than 10 a side.
