Zunaid, some of us still use rot13 to avoid spoilers. Yes, there still are a few of us old fogeys around, those of us who predate SCB. As for those translators, wasn't the Ebonics filter known as Jive?

i have seen this kind of spelling from some other teenagers too. it does not make you look cool but illiterate. not to mention it gives me a headache trying to read through it.

*annoyed at having to read through that*
I didn't use short messaging to prove if i am cool and dont know if i am stil a teenager at the age of 24. People who do a lot of text messagging (sms) get used to this and people's age is not related here. Anyway, it wasn't intentional to write it that way. Thanx

hey imran78, u muz be nuts man thinking that fan from uk is tryna be cool. He's just tryna make his point....so what if he's lazy to type....u muz be a pretty senior compared to most of us....so take it from me (a 20 year old, even younger than fan from uk) we don't try to be cool by typing short stuff. Our only fault is that we are lazy.

fan from uk....ur awsum....now i understand what u wanted to say and fully agree with you. Imagine if any one of us sat down with whatmore and had a convo about the where bd cricket will be in the future. Of course whatmore would say that we're gonna be right up there with the best! So like u said, we should NEVER, and i mean NEVER be discouraged by our losses, coz inshallah, there's no reason for us to fail in the long run to attain our goal for our country's cricket.

I have requested our Indian friend be_friend_13 to change this habit in one of our banglacricket threads.
People are entitled to write which ever way they want. I believe it is Instant Messaging dialect. But for old folks like me, it is hard to read it through (words with letters missing and short hands) and most of the time I lose interest and skip reading and miss what the person was trying to say.

I teach online MBA courses. The first thing I say to my students is, IM type threading is not allowed. It only will help them to practice correct grammar in the long run when they are trying to write letters, drafts etc. at work. Spelling mistakes are alright but cutting short every word as it is pronounced, loses the interest. I suggest all to make a habit and practice writing as it should be. It will only help you especially if you are in United States.

Dear guy_zin, now I suspect, actually it was your plan to be a dad of 11 kids. So, girls, be careful. guy_zin can't make a century, but if we hav 10 people like guy_zin, it will be a century.
