MODS need to do sth abt it....
We dont want new members to come here & open threads on sth they just saw on youtube or read on bdnews24...
NEITHER we want them to leave embarassed & humiliated, because we all were beginners at some point. New users tend to open some 'weak' threads visiting some other forums online & fail to realise that BC is more constructive than those (I have seen forums where threads are basically instant messages & replies, and guess what they do instead of 'Match Threads')
jaihok, we want more participation & more new users, of course without pissing off the old & dedicated members but also without humiliating the new users....

Alan D. and Steve Waugh combination may not go too well, asking arch rivals to work together
But under the circumstances, this is the best combo for our future.
Hopefully BCB will be able to get them.

Imran Khan
Adrian Birrell (former IRE coach..he did a pretty good job with his team. not an accident!)
Greg Chappell (jus cuz India didn't make it doesn't mean he's not a good coach)

BC is currently visited by a lot of international people. I would request the list maker to correct all the spelling if it is ok.

its a good idea to bring a coach who is a batting/bowling specialist.. Dav wasnt better in any of those.. if the coach is a good batsmen then he can teach our players how to play those shots (by which they get out).. If the coach is a bowler then he can teach our bowlers......
we are goin to have a better future if this happens..

i dont think BCB would be appointing two coaches... thats kind of expensive... double expense!!.... and if they do it... i would wonder how could they let Dav Whatmore leave???... i mean if u combine the cost of two coaches (Donald & Steve), they could have just used that same amount of money and kept Whatmore in Bangladesh....
Steve Waugh would be my first choice... given the fact that he was a great tactician and an agressive captain... i hope he could teach our boys how to be mentally strong and also teach them some basic batting skills....
just in case Steve waugh is not interested..... John Wright would be the next best choice... given his past record and experience...

i think with a specialist coach only one part (either bowling or batting) of the team get better coaching and experience... which kind of neglects the other part...
Dav & John Wright are the two best examples.... they are not specialist at either bowling or batting.. but they help to build a overall decent team...
for a team like Bangladesh who are still struggling in all departments of the game i dont think a specialist coach would be a good choice...

My check points to select the coach:
1. Have previous experience to coach a test side
2. Have previous experience to coach a sub-contitent team.
3. Completed coaching courses (level 3 is considered as acceptable level)
Tom Moodie, John Wright and Greg Chapell full-fill all 3 points.
Other two names come to my mind are Dankan Fletcher and John Buckanon (full-fills two points). As a head coach dont even consider Donald or Steve Waugh...they have no exp.
I will go for John Wright. Reasons are mainly his exp. with Indian team.....he will require no time to adjust or understand sub-continent culture......And by listening to his thoughts and words abt the game in SAT Max...i found him very passionate abt coaching.

the guys name is 'John Wright' but he will probably go to India.
Steve Waugh would give our country the confidence and the right fighting mentaility that he brought to the aussie team.
