Default 81/4

Golla 29
Fahim 2

Golla is the last batsman, the rest are bowlers.

Today seems to be Golla's day. Lets see what happens in the end.

Why doesn't cricinfo have live coverage of the England match when it does for all these other "unimportant" games going on......

Batty seems to be the spinner to watch out for in the first test....hmmm....

Aftab disappointing...but he obviously made an effort to stay at the crease as long as he could...may be he overcompensated and got bogged down...these are early days..

Rajin...first time he got out so quickly...we should hold on to our judgements...I don't think success got to his head or anything...he doesn't look the sort...besides he has spent too much time trying to get in to the team to just give it all away like that..

Javed Omar...standing tall in the midst of a collapse...hope he gets the team out of the crisis situation....on teh plus side this seems like a rather determined tail...hopefully sunny and mossaddek can recreat their first day's magic

We need to bat well after tea to ensure a draw....hopefully we will just bat out the overs...

Does anyone know if Sky Sports 1,2 or 3 are gonna cover the tests? I know the ODI's will be cause they already started showing the adverts.

Says rain has stopped play! Sucks. Javed could have done with the batting practice.

Sportinglife.com says the game is drawn. Must be pouring out there! Oh well, thats disappointing.

I was hoping to see a good batting display today, especially from Golla, Aftab and Rajin. But it wasn't to be. Anyway, they have all spent some time out in the middle between the last match and this one. Hopefully they will peak at the right time, in two days time.

Default Match Drawn

Dissapointment from Rajin and Aftab. Nafis must be feeling unlucky. still don't understand the selectors fascination with mushfiq. I have a feeling that if he is picked, he will do moderately well just to pip us off.

Based on this, the test matches should be FUN and I am not going to make any predictions because ... cricket is the glorious game of uncertainity and blah blah blah.

I truely hope Rajin is not anothe Ash in the making

Aftab's inclusion in the test squad went into his head, too excited to do good in practice. Atleast Javed stayed there for a while. Good to see him in the runs. This should give him enough confidence for the first test.

Before the start of the tour, we were all predicting a lot of runs from the English batters. I still think they will score pretty heavilly, but these matches have proved that our bowlers can get top line-ups out. That should encourage our bowlers, especially Mashrafe and Rafiq.

If our batsmen can put runs on the board, this will be a very interesting Test series.

There was a time, our front-line bowlers couldn't bowls even half a side out...now our virtual under-19 side and A-side bowled a test side out twice in two matches....the juniors have set the standards...particularly in the bowling department but also a couple of big knocks have shown that it shouldn't be impossible to get some decent scores on the board...the seniors don't have much to hide behind...

Exactly! Whatever these guys did, the senior will know that they will have to come out and better it.

I hope Whatmore had someone with a camera taping every minute of these last two matches. Our players need to see exactly how the English have been batting, what type of shots they have been playing in these conditions and exactly how the bowlers are bowling, especially Batty, who is a bit of an unknown.

I wonder if Batty took offense to Naf's big talk about them being 'very much ordinary.' Oh well, atleast Nafees didn't get out to him in this innings.

Default we shouldn\'t have commented about being ordinary

Nafis's commnets indeed got us...three wickets fell and we didn't have any specialist batsmen left...so i guess this match would have been over soon...yea i agree with yuou guys that inclusion of Aftab and even Rajin's performance worrying me for the upcoming test...

England soon gain first blood when Thorpe catches Iqbal for 39 and then Batty celebrates three wickets in quick succession

But England's efforts are wasted as torrential rain wipes out any possibility of play and Michael Vaughan misses out on a morale-boosting win

England will be hoping their flashes of good play in the last three days can be carried on to next week's full test

The camera angle (from the ground) is making him look high. Its not that high. He also has his legs folded - making him look higher. Also the ball is behind him. Why the hell is he jumping at all?

Yeah, he looks high because of the camera angle.

Pagol Chagol, when you are fielding at silly point and a batsman goes for a full-blooded drive, you don't wait to see where the ball is before you jump. You just jump!
