Sri Lankas Openers are very bad, If Mashrafe/Shahadat can't get them can't get them than their is a problem in our pace attack. Vandort is a Walking Wicket I haven't seen much of Warnapura (Test Average of 50) to make a comment but he has a Golden Duck under Rajibs name. Kapugedera too should be a cheap wicket. It's their middle order thats Rock Solid, Mahela, Sangakarra & Samaraweera. If we have them reeling really can't afford them to get back in the game if Enam and Shakib can keep it tight we have a real good chance. I'd put Mushy and Ash at 3 & 4 just based on the Record Partnership
I saw 12 No Balls under Rajibs name for the practice match (I think he's trying to get the speed back up), I think he's gonna bowl fast. Mahela was complaining about the grunting again so I expect him to grunt louder
Raqibul isn't going to have fun he seemed terrified when facing Murali on a Test Field during the Asia Cup
Hopefully we can end the year on a High or Start the New Year on some other level

simple strategy:
every bowler focus on getting at least 2 wickets
score 250+ Each innings
restrict below 250- Each innings...
the rest is up to....

my team
1 Tamim Iqbal
2 Junaid Siddique
3 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)
4 Raqibul Hasan
5 Mohammad Ashraful (c)
6 Shakib al Hasan
7 Mehrab Hossain jnr
8 Mashrafe Mortaza (vc)
9 Shahadat Hossain
10 Mahbubul Alam
11 Enamul Haque jnr
move mushy up to 3 and ash down to 5
got plenty of players who are capable of building an innings- junaid, mushy, rokib, mehrab plus the strokemakers of tamim, ash and shakib.
Also a balanced bowling attack with 3 pace bowlers- Mash, Shahadat and Mahbubul.
3 spinners- Shakib, Enamul and Mehrab.

bowlers shud pay more attention to line and length than wickets..once they get the the line and length consistently wickets will come...

This looks like the ideal team..we don't need enam jr. Mehrab is good enuf to support sakib, and lankans do not fear spin. Batsman is more important. I would tho put Kayes in opening and Junaed in at 3..Really hoping Ash goes down to no. 5 or 6.

sad!
Its sad how Imrul Kayes plays well against domestic teams but fails to play up to international standard. Also, I've seen alot of batsmen play but he looks like a little kid just learned how to hold a bat. Last series he only had 5-10 boundries in the whole series. I think selectors should play him the first test match and this is my line up:
Tamim
JS
Imrul Kayes
Mashfiqur
Raquib
Sakib
Mehrab
Mashrafee
Mahbubul Alam
Enamul Haque Jr.
Rajib (No choice)
I would have JS open!!!

Why do u want to bowl first? Is the ball supposed to swing in the first day before lunch? I dnno the local conditions. We wouldn't want to be demoralised by a huge 1st innings total . And don't forget, its harder to chase in 4th innings.
I was wondering what the effects of rest day will be.I put my thought in a thread..check it out.

Btw, I hope Enam is not picked, as it would a waste of a spot since we already have 2 spinners in Mehrab & Sakib.
