Have a hunch. May be volunteers to go to the matches (domestic and intl.). Access to 1st hand information instead of biased media. Better constructive way to critic BCB's work or assist them. I think these would be the reasons to have a strong home base. After all Dhaka is our home base not Virginia or O'Canada.

Is that the answer to GB's question ... hosting =shouldering the cost. I am up for it provided I get to join in via Video Conference. I wont put a ceiling or a budget. Its all you can eat. I will let my parents know in dhaka and they will foot the bill.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Well, I would have liked to take all the credits, but, I'm just the messanger.
At best, the co-ordinator of the meeting.
Miraz bhai happens to be in Dhaka at the moment and it was due to his request, we have decided to organise another get together, this time with preferably all Dhaka members.
What i would personally appreciate if you could pls sign your name, confirming your attendance.
Then you can PM me your mobile number, so that we could contact you if need be.
We need to have a clear idea of how many coming.
...and pls keep those suggestions coming.

As i said earlier, we'd set the venue as soon as we have an idea of the number of attendee.

Some of the members, who were present on the earlier gtg on the 20th, had problems with this weekend and Miraz bhai leaves the following weekend.
Hence we opted for weekday, Sunday.
But your suggestion is well noted and it is here for everyone to read and respond.

This is my first post after that devastating day, but as we all know Bangladesh Cricket runs in our blood therefore it is impossible to leave it so easily. Anyway, it is a great initiative by Rabz bhai and we really need it to discuss about the future of our cricket and the improvements that can be done for BC. I'm leaving for London on the first of July and this will be an excellent opportunity for me to meet some of the great souls of BC. My suggestions to Rabz bhai will be that if possible arrange it somewhere around/in Gulshan as it will be convenient for people to come from all parts of Dhaka. Hopefully this will be an event to remember for all of us here in BC.

Oh, one thing that needs to be cleared up.
I think some of our members are under the impression that we are discussing the "future plan of Bangladesh Cricket".
Thats not what i meant when i stated "future plan for BanglaCricket"
We would be discussing about the forum and its future plans.

Well if Coffee World, theyve got WiFi, and we could probably video confce from a webcammed laptop through skype.... but can you actually do a multiple person video conference through skype?
If not skype, what other software would you have in mind?

Well AFAIR, yahoo messenger has a "multicast" system - you turn on your cam, give us your addy and whoever wants to join in can request to view your cam. At least that's how it used to be (I think) six/seven years ago, when I was an avid yahoo messenger tester.

Is it possible to shift it from Sunday to any other day?
If not possible, is it possible to change the time to 8.00 pm?
