PCL is one of the stupidest name, I keep thinking its Pakistan Cricket League. Hope they change the name ASAP.

According to Prothom Alo the entire budget of the tournament is BDT 12 crore. The organizers will provide travel and accommodation facilities for every club (14players+4officials). This year PCL is being arranged in Sharjah because all the grounds of BD will be busy hosting other matches.

Yeah, stupid BCB scheduled NCL T20 league in the same time period. I wonder who will be the players staying home to play in that league!

In other words - NCL 2nd XI players who would not otherwise play. NCL teams will have to call up Dhaka first division players to make up playing XIs. Don't be surprised to see JO and Bashar topping charts for the league.

Funny thing is NCL T20 will still have official status, PCL T20 won't.

I really hope ATN Bangla improve their telecasting expertise. Last year was the crappiest one I've ever seen in my life. The cameramen had no idea where the ball was and where the camera was. As they are giving 1 crore to the PCL authority, hopefully they will also hire sports camera as well as adept cameramen.

I think this move[sharjah tourn] is just to show everyone the strength of PCL. I never thought anyone from BD would ever dare to hold a tournament in Sharjah, big move this. And I believe BCB have allowed a 2 week gap in the plan for PCL, so we can expect to see all the national team players. This is going to be a huge tournament.

This was one of the reason they wanted to have better facilities and made the move to Sharjah.

I agree the last year one was an ameture one. When they tried to show a replay one was were being bowled. We missed the live one HHS.

Getting few Ind-Pak players will only increase the fan-base. A lot of subcontinent people living nearby.

the tigers return to the desert after a long long time. the last time they played, i think that series my uncle debuted, along with other ppl who are legends for BD. . sharjah here i come, it's home turf for me the UAE, the conditionss, very humid, very windy, pitchh usually good for batting, since the soil comes from pakistan. and the grass comes from USA, so the outfield should be fast. sharjah resurrects again!
