My find is 'Shahriar Nafees' !
I never ever thought of him being such a coward and sissy player. When he had a great chance to show his captaincy abilities and power hitting batting, he just hid in the dug out. Not a single try to make it happen. Its time to put his cricket kits in the shelves and never ever think of further career in cricket, be it as coach, consultant etc.
And for promising players, still no one makes to my list. All of them showed some glimpses but that does not impress me much. We never had any doubt on their skills but no one really stood out from the crowd and said ' i am the real big thing for Bangladesh Cricket'.

I totally agree with you. Its really sad not to see out of the 23 million males living in Bangladesh we couldnt find one solid batsmen who can average 50 for us (or 45) in odi's or possibly in tests.
And also a good seamer who bowls good accurate off stump bowling.
Its sad to see that we have to rely on the next generation.
If we cant find good batsmen in Bangladesh then i guess we have to scout for Bangladeshi cricketers who live in England, Australia, South Africa and possibly in New Zealand.

to be honest, what ive found is that our local players are far too crappier than international stars.

Abul Hasan Raju is the best find to me . He has nice action with very good pace . Arafat sunny is also a good find . But i am more excited with Raju as he is a fast bowler and we need some of them desperately

^^ Would that be a find or re-affirmation ??
Whatever version you may depict, he was and still is our best fast bowler.

Amen to that. In Mash we trust. Just in case I'm accused of blasphemy - Shakib too. :-)

Well, the short 4 over stints in a T20 and the pressure free Asia Cup (it's not the World Cup) will hopefully allow him to ease into it.

Hardly the "find of the tournament" but someone I've enjoyed watching is Noor Hossain Munna. We hear so much of up and coming youngsters on the domestic circuit but we rarely get to see them in action unless we are fortunate enough to attend domestic games in BD.
Munna has been much talked about and I like his bowling style. T20 might not be his forte but as a leg spinner with good control I can see this youngster playing for BD very soon. Here's hoping he develops into a real star for BD...

Enamul defintiely deserves a national recall. He's been pigeon-holed as a test specialist for too long. This proves he has adapted his game to fit the demands of limited overs cricket.
He has only played a handful of ODIs and bizarrely these have all come against the same side: Zimbabwe.
I'd have him in the Aisa cup squad like a shot. Probably at the expense of Razzak and let him battle with Elias Sunny for a place in the starting XI...

Compare any of the domestic uncapped batsmen you saw glimmer in the BPL with Shehzad - Pakistan's rookie 20 year old. (Though you can't help but doubt the veracity of his age) He scored lots of runs, he was confident and committed - like an old pro. None of our players have shown that consistently.

This is not the place you would like to find players. If you want to evaluate players from this type of fun-fun cricket then come real time you will be so disappointed.
Good to see Mash bowling. Hopefully he only sticks to this format.

I'm sorry but how are you going to find these type of players in a T20 competition??
Test cricket and even ODI cricket are both very different to T20 cricket. They require different skill sets. There's a reason why players such as Dravid, Ganguly, Kallis, Clarke, Ponting, Cook etc are masters in Tests but relativel;y ordinary in T20. Then you have players like Yusuf Pathan, Raina, Pollard who are the opposite. Of course you will also have some players who are good at both.
We shouldn't let any performances in this competition be used for selection in Tests and ODIs. Anyone who performs well in BPL should be considered for the T20 squad. We have enough problems with selecting players in the wrong formats without the BPL making it worse.

Find of the tournament unfortunately will only benefit Pakistan. It has to be Ahmed Shehzad. What a player-devastating batsman, good fielder, useful bowler. Only 20 years old. Pakistan have enough talent to field a second side. And you can be sure with the second team they ll be beating a lot of teams in world cricket
