Stuart law in press conference said BCB to make deals with other boards so we play more cricket against better teams at home or away.. he said we have proven we can beat any team.

The upcoming series would the acid test for BD. No cricket for so long, that ought to suck.

I hope they arrange some quickies with New Zealand or someone.

BCB should be really proactive about it. There has to be a way to organize tours outside the FTP. Home series in Bangladesh makes everyone (ICC, broadcasters, boards etc) enough money right?

by the time we play india next according to the ftp, shakib's son might make it in the team..

hopefully nazimuddin dont get axe from test team base on his ODI performance. that will be sad and BD has history of doing that. even shahadat is not bad in test.

Australia won't play Bangladesh. SA might, and so could NZ. If Mustafa Kamal had shown half the interest he is showing to get into ICC, you would have a lot of teams touring Bangladesh.

And Bangladeshi cricket has good following, far better than NZ/Zimbabwe/West Indies etc.

Australia already visited us last year April and they have played way too much cricket recently. We should try to play NZ soon

I agree with you Shakibrulz. If Mustafa Kamal have shown half the interest in getting us more FTPs with bigger teams like SA/NZ, it would have been really good for BD cricket. At least the players would have get more exposure and practice. And who knows, based on their current improvements, might defeat them in a match or 2.

April, May, June is too hot and humid in Bangladesh, no team would like to come and play. BCB should look for away tour, NZ, SAF, SL could be in asking list.

Lets begin our journey with the new born spirit....

April '12- Pak tour (still in doubt)
August '12 - Zimbabwe tour
Sept '12 - ICC WT20 in Sri Lanka (21st v NZ; 25th v PAK)
Nov '12 - Host WI
March '13 - away in Sri Lanka
...
This clearly shows how unfair ICC's FTP is ! Bangladesh should be allowed to play cricket against the best sides more often. They don't even have much cricket with the lower rated teams.

Bangladesh needs to use the current from as a platform and surge ahead and this requires good cricket. This seems to be the exclusive privilege of India, England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

I believe I read on teh ZIM forum that the ZC is proposing an itenerary that includes 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and a T20. I think we should add a pair of ODIs to that.

We should host ZIM for 3 Tests within the next year.

As Rommel said it MT, boys feel they can chase any total. And THAT's the biggest gain from this tourney. Bet with this added, galvanized gusto they can slay Australia on more days than before.

I don't understand how come our ODI ranking is still at 67 whereas WI have 84 points.

For Players, prepare and train as hard as you can for next battle. For Bcb, try and get as many series arranged as possible, even if it's lesser teams like Nz or West Indies home or away. Instead of complaining let's just win every series we play, and then see how quickly other teams lineup to play us, and Icc will give us the respect we deserve.

Good idea, but SL also is quite hot and humid. NZ and SA could be good options. This will have our boys playing on bouncy wickets...

Law is suddenly making a lot of sense. BCB definitely should try...

Very good plan.

I hope BCB gets to sort things out and can arrange some cricket for us. I hate to play Zim evrery other month. What about India? Its THE time BCB can approach BCCI and earn a tour out of them.

nah that wont happen.... pcb is way too pissed (thanks Mr. kamal) to consider sth like that atm....

anyways sooner we move past this Pak tour drama the better.

NZ in the April/May/June sounds plausible. I am sure they want to avenge their series loss and we can give them our words that we'll play better than before (or money back !!).

But I think the problem comes down to money. It must be hard to make money for everyone unless one of the top 4 visits NZ. And NZ vs BD might be a hard sell... but thats where I wish our BCB officials becomes more pro-active...

exactly, we really need to keep this momentum going. if we dont take advantage of this now I am afraid the Zim series in August might be too late....

that's why we should(and do) play at home a lot more than away for couple more years till we have the ability to beat top teams at home regularly and then we will be regarded as a good team and it would be financially sound to invite us to tour overseas. We have an advantage because of our huge cricket loving population, if we perform well we will get to tour places like South Africa/ Australia more often.
