We also can without Tamim. But probably not without both, although Nasir is coming along nicely. Hope that Anamul and Mominul join them. With Rex and Gazi bowling as they do, and Mash being always steady if not anymore a match-winner, then we can without SAH and TIK.

Would be more fun if we could do it without Tamim as well. I'm now motivated enough to keep faith in our new cricket genos.

Only one match we win. We have more 4 matches remaining. We shouldn't judge with only one match. If we can win series without Shakib it will be great like we whitewashed New Zealand without Tamim. Then we can say we have ability to win without them.

I want Romo to bereplaced by Alex Smith. Trade him if you don't like him. I am sure he'll be back for San Fran.
Well Done BD!!

Let's forget about this match and concentrate on the next one. We can celebrate after we win the series.

Well Dilscoop, you have to admit that Shakib brings to the team the kind of arrogance and selfish attitude (re: his dismissal in the 90's gooing for the hundred when the team needed him to stay) that are contagious and detrimental to the team's development. Now that the guys believe they can win even when he isn't around, I think it is safe to say that we're done with him and that his theatrics are better left outside the team. I think it's time for us to move on - we have a coherent bunch here and given our current form, we're certainly up there in terms of quality along with the likes of South Africa and India.

Shakib himself will be proud of this team performance. But its not a question about can we win without him, we HAVE to, and i am glad to see the team starting to believe it.

I think we can finally rely on other spinners and Shakib won't have to be depended upon with his bowling. To me, that's a huge step. We can't just rely on him to be our best bowler and batsman. Something had to give and I think it's best he plays more of a support role in bowling. Let Razzak and Gazi have the bowling workload for T20I's and ODI's and let Sunny and Gazi do their thing in Tests.
Like I've said many times before, rather than having him at #5, it's time we bring him in at #3 or #4 for all formats of the game. I feel this would be the best way to use Shakib and not over rely on him.

This is what I see upon Shakib's return:
1. Tamim
2. Bijoy
3. Nayeem/Shourobh
4. Shakib
5. Nasir
6. Mit'hu
7. Riyad
8. Raju
9. Koushik
10. Gazza
11. Rex/RBX
NO WALKING WICKET from 1-7 with Raju and Gazza both being able to actually bat, and Koushik slog for quick runs. I don't thonk we've ever had a team as balanced at this.

NO, I didn't read any other comments. I am not following the forum for some time due to my busy ( ) schedule...
Sakib is the best player hands down, and he has much more to give in years to come.
BTW. At least I got to comment on my comment (I don't think this happened ever before )

He does, his presence changes the mindset that other players think we can rely on him. Strange psychological game this - plus Shohag has been learning from Saqlain - and working harder than Shakib - off the field. He is his own man.

Alex Smith would be appreciated in so many places right now. Niners are lucky to have two hot QBs while others cant even find a starter. Cards, Eagles, Steelers, SD, KCC (your team-- he'd be like a Montana if he went there ), Jets...
I just hope Kaep don't choke in the playoffs.

IMO, Law should be credited for psychologically conditioning our players not be so dependent on Shakib-Tamim (ie to negate the psychology that was developed during Siddons era).

Why is it that every time I mention the color brown I get replies on "racism" bases. Like a reverse-"racism" thing going on here. Because I'm brown I can't say it? Also how's calling it as it is racist? I'm sure you guys love Russell Peters. It doesn't bother you then does it...
