He was very tentative in the first game, one ball passing the stumps from inside edge, and couple of shots flew high and fell in no man's land. But in any case he was the top scorer for his team and its good to see him back in form..

luck favors the brave but it also can run out if you are not careful..plenty of good and quality players in that league who will do homework and work hard to study him. He has to be careful when playing those shots as they will put him in trap.

BBL Preview: Stars vs Strikers http://www.bigbash.com.au/news-and-v...rikers-preview
Quote:
Shakib Al Hasan showed why he’s ranked as the world’s fourth best all-rounder in his debut match for the Strikers against the Sixers last Sunday. Al Hasan was the Strikers’ top wicket-taker and run scorer, picking up 2/21 at an economy of 5.25 and 46 runs from 30 balls. - See more at: http://www.bigbash.com.au/news-and-v....H6uRyHUJ.dpuf
|
In squads, Shakibs name is 2nd after their captain and also for bowlers they have mentioned Shakibs name first.

And strikers have a player who is most likely to become the best Spinning AR in the history of the game.
Anyways, Stars are an awesome side compared to the strikers who don't have too many quality players. When someone like Botha is considered one of the main players in the side you know the team is weak.

SGS as a batsman alone was ATG
But his bowling as per many was not upto the mark, atleast that what cricket experts claim. Even as per stats, he was nothing special

Phillip Hughes is not a excellent 20-20 player and puts pressure on other batsman due to his poor strike rate. Also, another spinner needs to support Shakib, Zampa pampa kono kajer nah.

Hitting sixes on this ground won't be easy. The boundaries are big.
