Spain 1

Getting ready to take a deep nap right now. Won't be able to stay up for the impending soozefest unless I do, no mater how strong the coffee is.

Even though my better half is not into sports that much, but she doesn't mind pulling up couple of all nighters for few games of football , esp on tournaments like World Cup or Euro, esp a chance to watch CRon or David Villa. (You know why)!!
So lucky for me, for football, no problem.
We both are Brazil and Spain supporters, so that helps too !!
But for cricket, a whole different story !!

Lucky you.
Won't get the chance to get out of office before 8.30pm.
Sleep depends on the level of borefest.
Back in office on time tomorrow morning.

It's the same with my best friend Shobhon, who came to the recentmost DG2G towards the end. His wife (and my friend) likes exactly the same players you mentioned pretty much for the same reason, but can't really stay up past the first 15-20 minutes of any given night game. She does mumble and ask about the score in her sleep from time time to time.
Cricket is not her thing. Not even the IPL.

^^ Yap, not her thing.
Not IPL, not BPL or any other PL CL for that matter.
May be if they start playing T5, might try to persuade my wife to watch couple of games.
She doesn't also get this whole banglacricket thing.
Why would a bunch of grown up men log in to the net to talk cricket is beyond her comprehension.
If that wasn't bad enough, should have seen her face when I tried to explain fantasy cricket !

Sorry Rabz bhai.....na heshe parlam na.... I can literally imagine doing the things that you described
That being said, I'm pretty sure she likes Shakib/Mushy/Tamim? If so, then maybe...maybe she's NOT completely out of interest for cricket

I doubt she knows Mushy or Tamim or any other cricketer.
Might just know Tamim, but not the full name.
I'll have to check.
Shakib ?? Ofcourse everyone in Bangladesh knows Shakib.
The guy is everywhere and often tells us to clean our hand 5 times a day using Lifebouy Shaban.

good for you.....My Maa hates him...yep HATES him...calls him good-for-nothing and blames him for all our losses...also she thinks that he always poses for the cameras....especially what he did after defeating India in Asia Cup wearing the hat and all....she thinks Nasir to be the future and the messiah of our cricket

Official Lineups:
Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Piqué, Ramos, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Xabi Alonso; Silva, Fabregas, Iniesta.
Fabreplum is back in the starting lineup...the rest of the team is predictable.
Italy: Buffon; Abate, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Pirlo, Marchisio, De Rossi; Montolivo, Cassano, Balotelli.
Italy have one change...Abate is fit, and back in the starting lineup.

Well, so far, the game hasn't been the borefest I thought it might turn out to be.

Spain came out all gun blazing and showing who the champions are. Already up by 2 goals and the first half is not even over yet.
