Mehedi: "As a Bangladeshi fan, I don't think we should blame only the players. It is the non-cricketers (administrators+fans) who wanted to take a shortcut by getting test status without even having any First Class structure at all. Bangladesh is probably the only country who got test status because of "potential" (read big fan-base = more money) rather than cricketing ability."

look at those numbers Bashar put up...when was the last time a BD player made fifties in both innings of a test...let alone a century and a fifty...I remember Bashar had pretty consistent stretch back then...used to get easy 50s...so anti-BD

I wonder how the anti-BD comments in this thread and even in CI would actually appear if we win this...yes you read that right.

And if you think of this... many years ago, even Rafique, Mashud on 8th wicket scored centuries against a Lara led team.. I cant even imagine that with Rubel, Shafiul, Razzaque likes ...

Shakib made a fifty in both innings in the last test against the West Indies. Still, I take your point, Bashar was very consistent.

Nothing would change. Bangladesh would still be considered a crappy team.

This reminds me of NZ last year,, when they arrived, the feared Shakib and the bangladehsh conditions and said it will be difficult,,,and they lost all the matches. This time, Bangladesh lost the game before it was even started, the reporters made Pakistan a number 1 team of the world and the players succumbed to the pressure and playing meekly and worse than probably Rangamati ekadosh...
