this team has great talents unlike earlier ones, this team players know how to play according to sitauion, very mature players look like they exactly knew wha are they doing in the middle. Time of Rahim era U-19 players were going with two gears hit or slow down..

This is the first match I have watched and apart from Shanto, I didn't feel any other batsmen are that gifted, although I'm indeed impressed by the attitude and the temperament of the team captain.
What I don't understand, based on this tournament, is how India always maintain the continuous production of extremely talented batsmen. None of the other teams have anywhere near close to the batting talent that India have shown. They just keep producing. Amazing!

Future is bright. If we just drop saif we can add 30 additional balls and runs to the total

This middle order looks very good. Even with our top batsman Shanto failing today we lost only 4 wickets. Our problem is the opening and it will be horribly exposed against a better bowling side

This whole game plan revolves around chasing 200-230 max scores. This approach will fall apart if opposition scores 250+ which, i think teams in the semi will.

the strike rate of our top 3 batsmen gave me nothing but sorrow.

I think that applies for Saif Hassan but the rest of the team are capable of scoring runs rather quickly. Today the approach was slow because a small target but those runout and Shanto's dismissal really pegged us back.
What we have not taken into account is the aggressive batsman in the side - saifuddin and sarkar didn't get to bat today and they were ready to play the big shots from the word go. It was a tricky chase though.
BTW, I don't think England or Pak will be able to score 240+ against us. England was routed for 150 in the practice match and Pak scored only 210ish against Lanka

Allhamdullilah we won! We are in the semis!
Was in a meeting with 12 overs left.
Thanks to Nepal for being competitive and you have done well. You guys should be proud of yourselves.
You have also exposed some of our areas where we need to work on like fielding, batting and getting rid of Saif!

Very pleased to say that I got my couple hours of sleep....
On my way to work atm.....
And I will be seeing you in the semis.
Great game. Nepal gave their all. Should have made the most of the opprtunities they were given...
Kudos to zakir and miraz for guiding the team home with an unbeaten partnership....
But seeing the Nepalese girls in the crowd earlier made me felt a little grief for them knowing that they were on the wrong side of the result. I'm sure their great will produce many many wins in the near future. It made me reminiscence when Bangladesh loss in the Asia Cup of 2014.
So, enjoy this victory, it is sweeter knowing what you have accomplished for your country.
Unnecessary runout early on in the inning...but once again...miraz and zakir played very matured.
Tigersssss go!!!!!!

Really?
I didn't think so. You haven't seen our middle and late order batting at all then!!
Need to change Saif though if we want to go to the FINAL

YEs we won this game and I am happy. But the way we played doesn't give me much hope that we can go to the final. if that happens, it will be miracle come true.

Seriously, I think that they need to tweak the batting order a bit. Maybe the opening combo mixup. Send someone who can take the initiative and score runs.... For god's sake...get on with the run scoring and easing of pressure.

... yes atleats batting order tweak is needed. While team struggled to catch up low scoring target due to some slow batting, in the mean time two of our hard hitting batsman didn't get any chance to help the team with the RR issue.
They should have win this game before the 40th over with confidence, not like this against a team like Nepal.

Its unfair that people keep trashing nepal. They are a solid side, otherwise how did they upset a test nation to make the quarters, a feat that strong bangladesh can knly do every other world cup? This result vs their senior side would be tragic but not at this level. I dont think too many of this bd team will make it to the national side as this team is succeeding due to mental strengt rather than outright talent.

Great observation
Very much agree with you. And I think we will be in final regardless if it is Pakistan or WI.

I'll remember this match for its runouts....a couple as a result of good fielding...while others were because of a loss of communication that allow both batsman to run towards a single end and leaving the other exposed....
Shanto's fielding yielded run outs...while there were a high number of run outs in this match, there were an equal amount of near misses which could have been run outs....
It was one of the most tensed matches I've witness (barring the latter part of the run chase)...support for both teams were good...there was excellent commentary by Russell, lisa, AAK, Sanjay, and Paul...also a small segment where coach hatursinghe was being interviewed by Russell.....
This match has found a place into my cricketing history collection as a memorable one....
Good advertisement for the game...

I think we faced the most determined, disciplined, compact bowling unit of the tournament. They were there to prove something.
2 runs from extra. Unheard of when 48+ overs have been bowled. Their fielding backed up the bowling.
