I think Mirpur is a blessing in disguise. Making 210/5 against AUS bowlers here will come handy later when we play similar oppositions in a flat track like Mohali/Premadas or a bouncy track like Sydney.

we seriously need to think about the batting powerplay...it seems that it has become a mandatory to take it at the 45th over

I will not follow BD Cricket Until they change their loser mentality club
Whats the point of following and loosing our sleep over bunch of losers, who don't give damn about winning or the fans. I am tired of this endless slow and painful torture. We the fans at least want to see them fight back and not give up before the start of the game. Impossible is nothing! somebody needs to get it through their head. Impossible is nothing! nothing!
farewell Banglacricket and good bye

shakib promised an attacking approach for the next game... so lets wait and see how they play the 2nd ODI... if they display the same sort of cowardice then I will also rethink about following this team

Shakib and Tamim averted the humiliation and once they were set they should have gone for it... it was really ugly to see our best batters giving up like that... absolutely pathetic

I am sure if we had a strategist we would have not lost the game or at least make a game out of it and not looked so embarrassed instead we would have come head high at the end of the match had Mashrafee or Shafiul were sent earlier to increase the run rate, if Tamim was asked not to go for a second six, he could have easily taken a single on that particular over and saved his wicket, that's the basic of cricket that once u struck a 4 or 6 next u take a single, Mushfiq and Mahmuddlah should have accelerated little earlier than what they had shown in the end.
Similarly the bowling strategy was also not encouraging, why open with fast bowler from both the end? we were fine with one spinner from one end, that's what we were doing for the whole world cup, isn't it? also many more tactical mistake's were there in the bowling department which I personal think if we had someone like Naser Hussain ( Ex England captain ) or anyone who can be strategist and an on field planner than we will definitely do better then what we are doing currently.
|
I disagree... if you or me can [and the rest of the media/fans] can figure out what is wrong then the matter is not as complicated that we would require a strategist.
What our cricketers probably needs is cricketing knowledge plus education on top of their playing skills...

If BD is to win any games, its going to have to be the bowlers doing well with the ball and bat. Our batsmen are a complete joke atm, and I don't expect much from them unless they pull of a freak show. Besides BD have a tendency to win when motivation is at an all-time low and confidence is low (but they also go on to lose like crap when motivation is high and confidence is high).

If our standards were really high we would never follow BD cricket team in the first place.. even though they lose match after match and humiliated us we keep on coming back. They know that the fans will keep on coming back so BCB continues with same crap
