It was surprsing to know that BTV world telecasted the 1st ODI and will do the rest hopefully.
So, if you have BTV world, don't miss the opportunity.

I guess they paid for it. It must have been cheap
In any event, BTV world signal is only available over Asia, Aus/NZ, MiddleEast and parts of eastern Africa.

Navarene, when I click on the link, my Windows Media Player comes up and I get the 'Unable to connect to the server' error. Any clues?

tried, but its the same result. I'm guessing it must be the configuration of my media player thats causing the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion.

As a final try, click this link.
mms://abs-m1.act2000.net/abs
If it does not work, open the Windows media player, click OPEN URL, copy and paste and .......
I think it would be the link of ABS radio.

I can hear on Radio Guyana that WI are 29/1. Is this from today's 3rd ODI or may be it is SKY sports re-run from a previous game? Can anyone answer this?

Following this game
Please ignore this post of mine. While the game has not yet started today, I was thinking how fast we are getting response to our questions via the Internet. I just got response from Canada and Japan to my question on the audio commentary. There are people from Bangladesh and so many other places who are all in this board following the game. The other day chinaman helped me change the settings on my Media player. What is next!!
For someone like me, this may be the last way of following this game that I love so much. When I was very young, obviously, I was playing more than following the game. Then I used to see my father listening to cricket commentaries at different times of the day and night. Very soon I inherited the interest. May be I was genetically predisposed to loving this game. In my over exuberance, sometimes, I used to try to get sharper sound on the radio and would fiddle with the dial. Guess what, often I used to lose the station and would have to avoid my dad’s eyes. I still recall those commentaries from England, Australia and New Zealand. The stations were not that powerful, sometimes, we would have to listen to Chinese program at the same time, because they were probably on the same metre on the short wave band. But I recall those days so fondly, now. When I could understand the game a little bit, my dad would take me to the Dhaka stadium to watch cricket (and football) matches.
I was given my own radio and I could fiddle around as much as I wanted. Not before I was at the university, were live telecasts available. The next period was the hardest, when I came to this country (USA) to do my Ph.D. I am not making this up, but I used to go to the library mainly to search for newspapers that were mostly 7-14 days old to get news of cricket. I would read newspapers from Britain, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. So I never lost touch of cricket news, but may be I was a few days behind the cricketing world. There was hardly any Bangladeshi friend who wanted to talk about cricket, let alone Bangladesh cricket. Well Bangladesh cricket was not doing much either.
In between, I had gone back to Bangladesh for a few years, and noted that some people could watch cricket if Doordarshan telecast it. I think a special type of antenna was needed and it had to be pointed in the right direction. One such facility was available at my in-laws’ place. I was happy and so was my wife, with my frequent visit to my in-laws. A few years later came the cable operators and now it was so easy to watch cricket all day long. I used to tell my friends that if I had been growing up during that period I would not be where I am today, because I would watch cricket all day long. I am so glad that my dad was enjoying the game on TV after his retirement. One time he was at a clinic in Dhaka and there was a TV in his room. He was still watching cricket. He was very sick and was a little disoriented. I felt so bad when he said he was not able to follow the game properly. I knew the intricacies of the game would not register in his brain any longer.
I was not planning on writing all these. But I can truly say that I still enjoy the game as much as I used to, many years back. Following the game has become much more interesting. Of course even on the Internet, first it was the text scores only, and then came the audio and video. And now to top it all, we discuss the game as it is taking place. As I always say, this last part was due to the wonderful people on this board. Thanks to ALL.

nice post!
cricket46! How life has evolved for the cricket fan? Also there was a time when we Bnagladeshi cricket fans had no choice but to support other cricket teams. Today, we actually have a national team that competes at the highest level. I am really grateful to our players for giving us this opportunity, honour, pride, and memories.
