Mominul needs to play, but it will be hard to find a spot for him in the first test.

One option is to open with Ash and slot Mominul in at #3.

But Ash seems confident at number 3. Change his place and he will feel nervous and flop again.

Agreed. Riyad had one bad series. But Mominul on the other hand just had a great series that too against SL in SL. Don't worry, Riyad is playing because he is our VC.

Experience is needed for tests, and I totally agree with you. But experience without performance can not be productive. SRK is a great example.

I would play Mominul at any cost. I wouldn't mind benching SN for that and have Ash open like many have suggested.

why does everyone hate on mahmudullah? he played a couple of bad games but had a very successful series prior to SL. Also, he is a very useful bowler. Mominul can only bat.

Out of three Bangladesh captains to tour Zimbabwe, Naimur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan lost their jobs after losing Test series there . . . . .interesting.

Kindly point out where I said I hate Riyad. Hate is a strong word. I would gladly delete that line.

Wouldn't mind? I would totally bench Nafees and play Mominul. Experience is needed but not the flash back of bad cricket that Nafees brings.

+1

Got another vote. Bench Nafees, if needed to, to accommodate Mominul.

With jahurul and nafees opening the batting i don't think their happy honeymoon will last more than half an hour,
so someone needs to install this in ash's mind that 1 wicket is already down and the match is preponed for daylight saving, that way we can save mominul and get optimum result from ash

there is a good chance we will go with three pacers like we did in Sri Lanka and ultimately pay the price for it.
I would be happy if we go with Sajidul, Robiul, Enamul and Gazi as our bowlers

^^^ that's the way it should be.

Mushy should have learnt his lessons by now. If not, he wouldn't ever.
